- Model best-in-class service that consistently exceeds our customers’ expectations and builds a long-term rapport using established customer service model.

We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for our retail store selling CBD and other cannabis-based products with plans to become a cannabis dispensary in October 2022. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability. Successful candidate will have a passion for cannabis as medicine, commitment to our mission and be a team player.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
- Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
- Cross-sell products
- Ensure displays are fully stocked
- Coordinate with the team to provide excellent customer service
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers
- Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
- Support marketing and wholesale sales development

Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas

Cannabis Retail Guide Responsibilities:
- Responsible for greeting customers and/or patients
- Face to face interaction with customers - must maintain appearance and personal attitude
- Check in members, verify age and validation of identification
- Maintain online menus and platforms
- Must be able to multitask (process orders on online platforms/ notify sales team of incoming online and phone orders)
- Deliver company's retail promise to every person and patient while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Communicates effectively with customers to drive sales while providing excellent customer service.
- Educates customers on the various strains, uses, and methods of delivery
- Demonstrates working knowledge and complies with all state/ municipal laws and regulations
- Quickly and efficiently operates the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Ensures overall cleanliness of the sales counter and back counter
- Acts with integrity and honesty while actively promoting the culture and the values of the company
- Ability to anticipate customer and store needs by assessing the store

POSITION TITLE: Retail Guide

The People s Retail Guide is responsible for providing exceptional and professional service to all customers, vendors and guests that come into the store. The Guide will work in various roles within the store, as outlined below. It is imperative that they represent the brand with professionalism, passion, and provide extensive cannabis product knowledge to every customer.
The Retail Guide should be regarded as the most welcoming, professional, passionate and knowledgeable people within the cannabis retail space.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service as well as maintain a professional, positive and friendly attitude in all positions on the sales floor as a Retail Associate
- Follow all store procedures, protocols and rules
- Cashier transactions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Cash handling and drawer reconciliation must be impeccable
- Always maintain a clean and organized workspace
Check In/Reception:
- Greet/acknowledge customers, vendors and guests as they enter and leave the store
- Check validity of government issued identification and Medical Marijuana ID (MMID) cards
- Thoroughly check customer profiles for notes or banned customers
- Ensure reception and downstairs area is clean and organized
- Restock supplies as needed. IE: water, retail bags, stickers, etc.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers or guests with any questions
- Handle and cashier kiosk and pick up orders
Order Fulfillment:
- Quickly and efficiently place, process and fill online, kiosk and delivery orders
- Ensure correct product is pulled and bagged for each order
- Pay attention to details and accurately prepare each order
- Identify and communicate items unable to fulfill due to inventory discrepancies to the Manager on Duty or Inventory Manager
- Assist customers with possible substitutions when items are sold out or are unable to be fulfilled
Sales/Upstairs Counters:
- Provide professional and excellent customer service by demonstrating strong product knowledge and sales skills
- Identify customer needs and provide them with all possible product options and price points
- Follow merchandising guidelines and maintain all product displays as set by vendors or buyers
- Assist Inventory Team when restocking product
- Stay current with all product knowledge and vendor training as provided by People s Management
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, pricing, method of consumption, etc. as outlined in the training materials
- Ensure sales floor, counters, displays and general upstairs area is always clean and organized
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a comprehensive background check
- Valid identification to work in the US
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Must be proactive and solution oriented with a positive attitude
- Strong multi-tasker and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in technology software, desktop electronics, MS Office
- Retail experience is a plus
Compensation: $14.50 + share of tips

Duties and Responsibilities:
Service
- Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge, offering a full-service experience and/or simple service depending on the customer's needs.

- Support promotions, events and launches to deliver the intended experience for customers.
- Attends all required meetings, training's and completes educational and developmental tools as assigned.

- Educate customers on the processes of registration, renewals or lost registration documents.
Sales
- Provides the full Surterra Wellness customer service experience in store, delivering sales to meet and exceed KPIs.

Leadership
- Contributes to a productive and dynamic Surterra Wellness team by connecting with employees, customers, and members of the community.
- Acts with professionalism and respect in all interactions with customers, co-workers, management and business associates.
Operations
- Must adhere to all company policies and procedures. Immediately report any variances to a Manager or a HR partner.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable state and local laws, as well as documentation processes in accordance with the State of Florida Office of Compassionate Use.
- Ensure all customer files are current and required documentation is on file and follows all guidelines issued by the State of Florida.
- Maintain customer database through entering new customers, adding or removing membership, updating changes in information, scheduling appointments and updating customer registration status.
- Maintain caregiver paperwork in accordance with the State of Florida; maintain tracking in system and communicating changes to physicians.
- Record and collaborate with team on preorders to ensure accurate order information and timely preparation of orders.
- Assists in execution of visual displays, merchandising and marketing standards ensuring the store is consistently replenished.
- Assists in the preparation and completion of accurate physical inventory as assigned.
- Assists with non-sell tasks as assigned by Management and as part of the regular daily responsibilities.
- Accurately ring sales and use the POS correctly.
- Arrives to work on time and consistently follows the Surterra Wellness personal appearance guidelines.
- Follows all safety and emergency procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting customers, completing transactions, cash handling, and ensuring products leave the store with the proper labels affixed and in the required exit packaging. Must have the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. As a critical part of the business operation, Guides have the most interaction with the store's patrons. Must be outgoing and passionate, very knowledgeable on the products and cannabis in general, and be willing to assist the management team with the activities and operations of the store.
CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continual cannabis education including but not limited to knowledge of strains, terpenes, consumption methods, medical implications and research, efficacy, effects/high, aroma/tastes/aesthetic, state and local regulations for medical and recreational marijuana
- Provides quality customer service and demonstrates professionalism at all times
- Greets customers warmly when they enter and promotes a work environment that is positive, compassionate, and customer-service oriented
- Accurately record any pertinent notes that will help provide excellent customer service when the customer/patient returns
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system including correct cash handling and discount application
- Full responsibility for an accurate cash drawer and accurate cash transactions
- Ensure a presentable presence on the sales floor, including but not limited to clean and neat workstations and well-maintained displays
- Completes all assigned tasks during overlap hours
- Make sales recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Bag, box, or wrap purchase after appropriate items are labeled in accordance with state regulations
- Complete Opening/Closing duties, initialing the checklist appropriately
- Have a team player attitude; Guides may be assigned to call center, curb-side and delivery related responsibilities

Responsible for assisting customers, completing transactions, cash handling, and ensuring products leave the store with the proper labels affixed and in the required exit packaging. Must have the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. As a critical part of the business operation, Concierges have the most interaction with the store's patrons. Must be outgoing and passionate, very knowledgeable on the products and cannabis in general, and be willing to assist the management team with the activities and operations of the store.
CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continual cannabis education including but not limited to knowledge of strains, terpenes, consumption methods, medical implications and research, efficacy, effects/high, aroma/tastes/aesthetic, state and local regulations for medical and recreational marijuana
- Provides quality customer service and demonstrates professionalism at all times
- Greets customers warmly when they enter and promotes a work environment that is positive, compassionate, and customer-service oriented
- Accurately record any pertinent notes that will help provide excellent customer service when the customer/patient returns
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system including correct cash handling and discount application
- Full responsibility for an accurate cash drawer and accurate cash transactions
- Ensure a presentable presence on the sales floor, including but not limited to clean and neat workstations and well maintained displays
- Completes all assigned tasks during overlap hours
- Make sales recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Bag, box, or wrap purchase after appropriate items are labeled in accordance with state regulations
- Complete Opening/Closing duties, initialing the checklist appropriately
- Have a team player attitude, filling-in at reception or other positions, when needed
- All other duties as assigned
