Do you have what it takes?
We’re looking for a teammate with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in manufacturing operations, management, and/orlogistics. It would be super if you had experience in a manufacturing environment and even better if you have worked in paper, packaging, or print. We’d love it if you’ve had previous management or leadership positions. This work experience will give you a baseline understanding of the manufacturing process that you can apply to this position.
You don’t need a degree for this position, but we’d love someone who has their GSD (“get stuff done”) or has paid tuition to the school of hard knocks. It’s helpful, though, if you have had formal training in management, maintenance, or production. Your educational background may provide you the tools and ideas you need in order to know what makes an excellent supervisor, but if you don’t have the formal book learning, we still value the hard work, experience, curiosity, and best practices you can bring from other positions and workplaces.

Do you have what it takes?
We’re looking for a teammate with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in manufacturing operations, management, and/or logistics. It would be super if you had experience in a manufacturing environment and even better if you have worked in paper, packaging, or print. We’d love it if you’ve had previous management or leadership positions. This work experience will give you a baseline understanding of the manufacturing process that you can apply to this position.
You don’t need a degree for this position, but we’d love someone who has their GSD (“get stuff done”) or has paid tuition to the school of hard knocks. It’s helpful, though, if you have had formal training in management, maintenance, or production. Your educational background may provide you the tools and ideas you need in order to know what makes an excellent supervisor, but if you don’t have the formal book learning, we still value the hard work, experience, curiosity, and best practices you can bring from other positions and workplaces.

Qualifications Required
· A degree in Biology, Plant biotechnology, plant science, or related field. Must have experience working with cannabis and hemp.
· Ability to engineer growth medias for specific outcomes and techniques.
· Hands-on experience in initiating and maintaining cannabis cell cultures, and familiarity with different plant transformation technologies including but not limited to meristem harvesting, liquid cultures and bioreactors. Plant cryogenics is also preferred but not required.

We are seeking a highly motivated, Plantlet Production Supervisor with plant micropropagation and commercial tissue culture experience to join GreenVenus, LLC. The Plantlet Production Supervisor is responsible for, and has oversight of, laboratory operations, compliance with protocols and staff. The Plantlet Production Supervisor is responsible for running the entire micro-propagation production laboratory, including hands-on production of plantlets using proprietary Botticelli™ micropropagation methods; day-to-day plantlet production activities and interacting with the customer(s) and meeting their demands. Strong communication, supervisory and organization skills are required. Applicants must have had recent commercial plant micro-propagation lab experience in an industrial setting and be familiar with all aspects of plant tissue culture. Applicants are expected to be able to generate micro-propagation schedules to meet the timeline(s). This position has a minimum of two direct reports. An ideal candidate should have the ability to motivate workforce fairly and effectively to achieve time bound production goals.
The position is located at Coalinga, CA and may require some travel to GreenVenus, LLC’s in Davis, California for initial training and periodic check-in’s thereafter.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the Botticelli™ Plantlet Production (BPP) staff.
- Hands-on activities include safe-guarding and following proprietary protocols; initiation of explants from mother plants; necessary sub-culturing; maintaining contamination free cultures; making media to meet the production demands; hardening of plants, and periodic delivering of required number of events to the grown facility.
- Develop production schedules in conjunction with site Project Manager.
- Plans, directs, and assigns duties and resources for Botticelli™ plant production, including interfacing with GreenVenus local partner to ensure fidelity in application of technology.
- Test existing protocols developed by Research & Development
- Ensure laboratory procedures are performed in strict compliance with approved protocols.
- Maintain laboratory instruments, coordinates necessary repairs with appropriate service personnel and coordinates preventive maintenance.
- Ensure laboratory materials and supplies are kept at acceptable levels.
- Responsible for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and works with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish a safe and compliant environment.
- Additional duties include trouble shooting on as needed basis.

- Write comprehensive reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal and external colleagues, partners, and customers.
EDUCATION
- Minimum BS degree in plant biology
- More than 5 years of hands-on commercial plant micro-propagation laboratory experience
- Experience with improving plant quality and production efficiency
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced and high-thru-put environment
- Tissue culture experience with Cannabis will be a plus.
- EH&S experience is desired.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite of programs including Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.

Training employees to perform all wet plant processing tasks according to the provided SOPs
Oversight of all plant processing related tasks, making sure employees are following SOPs, and issuing corrective action when employees do not follow SOPs
Management of both full-time and temporary employees: scheduling workflow, track working hours, inputting timesheets, ensuring meal/rest break compliance, and coordinating staffing needs with the Director of Cultivation and third party staffing companies if needed
Coordinate with the manufacturing department and Compliance Manager to forecast time and volume of product ready for extraction
Any other task assigned by the Director of Cultivation
The Plant Processing Supervisor will need to be agile in delegation, as there are time constraints from when a plant is harvested to completion of processing for manufacturing. This position requires good leadership and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities of the Greenhouse Harvest Supervisor (GHS) includes approving standard methods and procedures related to cultivation of cannabis, specifically relating to the deployment of personnel. GHS is also responsible for the SOPs enforcement and training. Work together with the Growing Team (Master Grower) and Greenhouse Harvest Manager in planning, forecasting and budgeting as it related to the harvest process. Responsible for appropriately staffing the greenhouse harvest team with Team Leaders and general technicians to complete the company quotas. Responsible for annual, quarterly, and monthly reviews. Responsible for ensuring the necessary equipment and materials are on hand to support the function of the greenhouse harvest operations. The GHS must be a critical thinker, larger vision for the direction of the company and be able to follow state regulations and company policies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding of all Harvest-related SOPs prior to their implementation;
- Compile, approve and implement greenhouse labor strategies;
- Work with Employee and HR to initiate established corrective actions and discipline; protocols;
