The most essential skill and duty of any Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Sanctuary is to help the General Manager (GM) provide an environment that delights not only the patient, but also the team they lead. This leader will assist in the hiring/terminations, development, and training of all Medical Marijuana Treatment Center (MMTC) personnel, requiring bold decision-making and leadership skills in line with the company vision. In the absence of the GM the AGM will be the acting leadership of the store. AGM's are responsible for maintaining the operations and profitability of a MMTC in the State of Florida, while strongly supporting the General Manager in attaining goals such as sales estimates and revenue projections, among other duties.
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

Assistant General Manager
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for Leading & Inspiring the Team while managing/supporting one or more of the store functions; Front of House (Sales), Back of House (Inventory & Compliance) deliver a best-in-class experience and achieving business results. This Leader will report directly to the General Manager to ensure effective, efficient operation of the dispensary. In the absence of the General Manager, the AGM will be expected to perform all management functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Motivate and drive the Team ensure high level customer service leading to achieving business
results
- Responsible for Recruiting and Hiring diverse top talent as well as maintaining a pinnacle
employee experience – This includes delivering training and development for new and existing
Team Members (POS, product training, salesmanship, etc.)
- Partner with GM and corporate marketing team to execute AWH vision in the dispensary as well
as the community
- Collaborate with Leadership Team to facilitate seamless operations (state regulations, inventory
processes, consumer journey, cash operations, scheduling, etc.)
- Ensure and enforce facility compliance with all state specific regulations and laws
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as a friendly and outgoing personality
- Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust, and motivates others, works with
integrity and ethics, upholds organizational standards
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree specializing in Business or relatable degree and/or 3+ years of management
experience ideally with a premium or luxury retail environment with 50+ Team size
- Sales training experience (service, upselling, cross-selling, etc.) strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and be highly
computer-literate
- Skilled with P&L and Retail Business Operations
- Be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays assume duties of a key-holding Leader with
opening and closing procedures
- At least 21 years of age
- Obtain and retain Medical Marijuana Program card remain compliant with all regulatory
requirements for working in the cannabis industry
- Have excellent organization and time management skills
- Able to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds. This job function may include walking or standing
for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching.
- Cannabis retail experience a plus
