Position Summary/Objective
The Retail Training Specialist will identify and monitor training needs within Ethos Retail Dispensaries, and work under the Sr. Manager for Customer Experience and Development. The Retail Training Specialist plans, organizes, and leads training programs, ensuring proper execution at all department levels.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all retail training activities, identifies development needs, ensuring consistency with core competencies and goals.
- Create high quality, scalable learning experiences for a diverse audience of General Managers, Managers, Product Associates, and Operation Directors.

- Lead New Store Opening initiative this includes but not limited to Pre and Post opening activities. Coordinating on-site deliveries, installations, system startups, inspections, etc.,
- Drive Ethos Values, Mission and Culture through all training courses.
- Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Develop and implement training programs for retail employees including but not limited to new hire, promotions, SOP updates, etc.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
- Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years as a Trainer or passion demonstrated.

Summary
This person will serve as the retail training team's connection to our dispensary fleet. They will conduct trainings for our managers and staff across our retail teams that enhance the customer experience. We create a more consistent operations for our teams by using a standardized approach to training at our stores. Position Objective:
Schwazze is seeking an energetic, hard-working person to drive long-term sales and revenue strategies by creating meaningful and value-added customer-centric engagement at every touchpoint.
The Retail Training Specialist will be responsible for analyzing the current learning/development/training environment, identifying gaps in employee and manager knowledge, conducting needs assessments, proposing solutions and implementing effective programs to drive a faster, more efficient, and more effective training programs across the New Mexico division of Schwazze.
This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining cohesive relationships with all teams to meet and exceed company objectives by conducting on-site store/grow/kitchen visits, side-by-side selling opportunities, mentoring employees and/or managers, and providing training to promote an improved customer experience with both internal and external stakeholders. This role reports to the HR Manager - NM and is expected to work cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Cultivation, Manufacturing, Marketing, and the HR Corporate Center of Excellence.
We are looking for a collaborative person who can build a portfolio of training programs and courses. Essential Functions:
- Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate existing training materials, determine what changes need to be made to keep all training materials relevant and updated with all company policies
- Create an annual training plan, created by identifying the needs of the local team through a needs assessment, with specific targets set and deadlines met throughout the calendar year to ensure sufficient training execution to satisfy the needs of the business.

- The role will become a super user in our Learning Management System (LMS), focused on leveraging current content based on needs of the business, employees and leaders as well as creating content to satisfy the local needs of the team.
Experience and Education Required:
- 1+ years of experience in a sales organization in an enablement and/or training and development capacity
- Experience building and delivering training that yields results
- Experience building strong relationships with cross-functional partners to gain buy-in and support
- Takes a proactive approach to training and development, including creating proposals and recommending solutions to leadership and operators
- Experience coaching and upskilling sales professionals
- Deep knowledge of cannabis products and brands
- Experience building a learning curriculum (online, in-person, coaching, and on-the-job training)
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel across the state for in-person training to all retail stores, grows, manufacturing sites.
- Experience in adult learning instructional design processes to ensure the cost-effective creation, implementation and continual improvement of leadership, development and training programs.
- Ability to embed DEI into L&D curriculum and initiatives.
EDUCATION
- Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in related fields OR equivalent working experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with a fast-paced environment and the ability to adapt to change quickly
- Ability to work with all levels of management
Working Conditions: (Schedule, Environment, Travel)
- Schedule will Vary Depending on the needs of the business (Nights, Weekends, Holidays included)
- Travel from 25-50% of total time: Based on company growth
- Position will be required to facilitate training in person, virtually and through online content creation.
