Job Summary
As the Quality Control Manager, the purpose of the role is to become the guardian of product quality. The scope is to monitor the cultivation, processing, and dispensary operations to ensure quality output to our customers/patients, adherence to quality standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. The job exists to ensure that the appropriate Quality Management Systems are in place to drive proactive and corrective actions necessary to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our products and processes. The individual will develop and conduct training programs for employees at multiple cultivation, lab and manufacturing locations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situation requiring training for employees to better understand changes in quality policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Ensures effective root cause investigation of all escalated quality incidents at the facility. Ensure the facility has an effective root cause investigation process for non-escalated quality incidents and ensures follow-up is completed.
- Formulates cannabis teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Monitors the introduction and documentation (i.e., SOP’s) of new products to the processing and packaging operations.
- Develops and implements company-wide product safety and sanitation programs, policies and practices related to microbiological issues or processing lethality based on audit results. Engages cultivation and processing staff to ensure successful program adoption.
- Create the vendor assurance program to monitor the quality of materials and products that are purchased in the wholesale market including the creation of specifications and COA’s.
- Ensures the facility is following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the cultivation and processing areas to maintain compliance with MMCC and banking audits.
- Conduct random internal audits using the S2S/Metrc system to ensure inventory compliance and traceability requirements.
- Other duties as required or needed to assist company in meeting goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred plus 1-2 years’ experience in similar role or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Must be able to work flexible shifts
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the Cannabis industry

Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. Job Summary
The responsibility of the Custodian will be to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. The Custodian will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and ceilings, cleaning and stocking restrooms, dusting, and removing trash. Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting employees in a wide variety of areas such as onboarding, leave administration, benefits administration, employee relations, Workers Compensation, terminations, compliance, and special projects. Scope of Position
Logistics Driver is responsible for the safe and secure delivery of cannabis products from the production facilities to our wholesale partners and retail locations. The Logistics Driver serves as an extension of AYR’s extraordinary customer service through interactions that are compassionate, genuine, and respectful. Primary Responsibilities
- Makes secure/monitored deliveries from Ayr locations to licensed facilities per state regulations.
- Pick delivery orders accurately and efficiently utilizing Leaf Logix, METRC, and Leaf Link software.
- Print out manifests, add directions, and correct driver / van information if incorrect.
- Double check each manifest to the physical shipment for accuracy.
- Use GPS to ensure that daily delivery routes are efficient and timely.
- Guarantee wholesale customer questions or concerns are resolved quickly and completely.
- Communicates any requests or unresolved concerns to management immediately.
- Oversees the intake process on location, ensuring that appropriate records and paperwork are submitted, and confidential information is maintained appropriately.

- Follows compliance practices and prevents the diversion of cannabis.

DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Post-Harvest Manager. The Processing Technician/Trimmer is responsible for properly weighing, manicuring, and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. This position is an integral piece of the post-harvest process at AYR Wellness, ensuring that only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hand Trims/manicures cannabis flower from plants in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring high quality standards are met.
- Removes fan leaves and trunks after harvest to prepare for drying process.
- Inspects and weighs cannabis flower, as well as unusable stems, stalks, and fan leaves for input into inventory tracking system.
- Performs plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.
- Ensures quality control post-harvest for a clean, seedless, pest and pathogen free final product.
- Maintains high level of cleanliness of all processing equipment/areas and sanitation practices concerning handling of product according to company procedures.
- Reports any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing Manager.
- Assists in fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis.”
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product.
- Able/willing to meet target production rates in grams per hour of trimmed cannabis flower buds.

Job Summary
The Cultivation Technician is the backbone of the horticultural process at Ayr Wellness. Through responsible care of all plants from initial propagation through harvest, the Cultivation Technician is essential to ensuring the purpose of Ayr Cultivation is achieved—a scientific, data-driven and no-nonsense approach to cannabis production.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in all aspects of cultivation operations including trellising, pruning, spacing and overall canopy management.

DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Post-Harvest Manager. The Processing Technician/Trimmer is responsible for properly weighing, manicuring, and inspecting all cannabis flower intended for packaging. This position is an integral piece of the post-harvest process at AYR Wellness, ensuring that only the highest-quality, well-manicured cannabis flower is packaged for sale to our patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hand Trims/manicures cannabis flower from plants in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring high quality standards are met.
- Removes fan leaves and trunks after harvest to prepare for drying process.
- Inspects and weighs cannabis flower, as well as unusable stems, stalks, and fan leaves for input into inventory tracking system.
- Performs plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.
- Ensures quality control post-harvest for a clean, seedless, pest and pathogen free final product.
- Maintains high level of cleanliness of all processing equipment/areas and sanitation practices concerning handling of product according to company procedures.
- Reports any instances of identifiable occurrence of mold, mildew, seeds, pests, or pathogens to the Processing Manager.
- Assists in fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis.”
QUALIFICATIONS
Exceptional attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product.- Able/willing to meet target production rates in grams per hour of trimmed cannabis flower buds.
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination and able/willing to work with small hand tools consistently throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Able/willing to hand/finger manipulate cannabis plant matter over the course of an 8-hour shift.
- Able/willing to sit/stand for prolonged periods (3-4 hours at a time).
- Must be dependable, professional, and confident.
- Must be able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
- Able to pass all background checks as mandated by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job Summary
- The Purchasing Sales Manager is responsible for managing wholesale key accounts, acquiring new business, facilitating educational trainings for internal and external retail teams. JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Cultivation Manager, the Cultivation Lead will work in conjunction with the Cultivation Manager and Assistant Manager as well as the other Cultivation Leads to coordinate, implement, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during day-to-day operations of the Cultivation Department at AYR Wellness. The Cultivation Lead will coordinate with the Cultivation Manager to ensure effective implementation of cultivation policies, performance of the team is consistent with the most recent iteration of all cultivation procedures, set and review task lists and crop scheduling with the Cultivation Manager, notify the Cultivation Manager/Assistant Manager of any issues with the crop as they arise and provide Cultivation Technicians with guidance and task clarification on an as-needed basis while working alongside them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in all aspects of cultivation operations including trellising, pruning, spacing and overall canopy management.
- Coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and task lists with the Cultivation Manager and Assistant Managers.
- Completes proper transplanting techniques including substrate mixing, container filling and transplanting.
- Assists in the monitoring and maintenance of irrigation systems and environmental controls.
- Performs plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.
- Accountable for accurate tracking and logging of all plants by utilizing the inventory tracking systems in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness of all Cultivation Equipment, Rooms and areas as well as sanitation practices concerning handling of plants according to Company procedure.
- Assists in fostering a positive work environment, treats everyone with dignity and respect, while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”.
- Assists in the supervision and training of new employees.
- Performs plant propagation and orchestrating room sets.
- Works with Leaf Logix inventory tracking system and ensures that all plants are properly tagged and in the appropriate location.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary
The Cultivation Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the cultivation facility in accordance with standards set by the state and Ayr Wellness. The Cultivation Assistant Manager provides support for all cultivation agents, including schedules, training, policy and procedure updates, industry news, and product information. Responsible for the documentation, ordering, and receiving of all inventory and products, arranging deliveries, maintaining facility compliance, and cleanliness in accordance with state regulations and standards set by Ayr Wellness.

Ayr is looking for an Inventory Manager to work in our Lakewood, NJ cultivation and grow facility to help set up and build a company that continues to help consumers to live their best lives.

We are looking for:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Inventory Manager has prior experience handling inventory and ordering (cannabis experience preferred). This individual is someone who has strong analytical skills to assess data, facts and figures as well as computer-based skills. They will be organized, work well under pressure and a process driven problem solver who understands the importance of regulatory compliance. This position is also accountable for the preparation of outgoing deliveries and will coordinate with management and delivery personnel to ensure timely, and accurate packaging and shipment to our customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain accurate counts of all inventories by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary
Ensure that all product is properly tagged according to state and local regulations and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork
Coordinate with laboratory staff and management to schedule and preform preventative maintenance
Run and maintain inventory level reports
Reconcile inventory using applicable tracking system (BioTrack, MJ Freeway, METRC, etc.) to ensure that all information is accurate
Maintain all delivery records and invoices according to the methods prescribed by the General Manager and state regulations
Generate purchase orders or transfers to fulfill sale order requirements
Oversee and assist in the packaging of deliveries to ensure accurate order preparation.
Keep a clean and well-organized shop/Storage area
Qualifications:
+2 years of inventory management and/or fulfillment experience
Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the NJ CRC
Able to pass all background checks as mandated by the NJ CRC.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office – specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Email.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse group
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds be able to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach

Job Summary
The Director of Operations will be responsible for directing manufacturing and logistics activities to assure that Ayr delivers high-quality products while maintaining the most efficient product cost structure. The Director of Operations is accountable for meeting production demand that supports corporate top-line revenue while improving efficiency to bottom-line growth. This position is responsible for all day-to-day manufacturing operations, including purchasing, production planning, manufacturing, and shipping of quality products with continuous quality and process improvements to ensure attainment of operational goals, tactics, and priorities that drive business results with a focus on quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day aspects of manufacturing operations, oversee scheduling, capital equipment maintenance, training, production planning, and logistics
- Responsible for meeting budgets in the areas of sales, expense, all Profit & Loss (P&L) categories, metrics, and overall facility contribution. Drives the overall financial performance of the facility by utilizing reporting tools and implementing strategies/tactics designed to improve performance.
- Work with the sales team to understand product demand, growth, and trends, convert this information to a functional manufacturing forecast
- Review production and scheduling plans to ensure they align with the product forecast
- Manage key vendor relationships, maintain inventory levels of key manufacturing components, and facilitate the flow of raw material from cultivation to manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with all manufacturing SOPs, review processing metrics and work to improve efficiency. Ensure quality assurance standards and metrics are maintained
- Work with the corporate team to facilitate commercialization of new products in the local market
- Maintain a strong presence in the field to effectively coach and support manufacturing teams
- Ensure manufacturing environments are brand-appropriate (i.e., positive, reassuring, energetic, encouraging, educational, and welcoming)
- Ensure operational priorities, processes, and procedures are communicated and understood
- Assure the cost-effective manufacturing of quality pharma-grade product
- Responsible for and working closely with the Director of Cultivation, Regional District Sales Manager, and the corporate manufacturing team, in the planning of all CAPEX projects
- Responsible for the successful coordination and execution of all capital improvement projects
- Communicate often and effectively with Retail and Wholesale Sales Teams to continually educate manufacturing crew regarding product knowledge and brand initiatives
- Partner with Compliance Team to monitor and maintain proper manufacturing compliance controls with all federal/state regulations
- Develop protocols with bill of materials and standard costing for ERP implementation
- Lead production and operational management teams ensuring collaboration and cross-departmental efficiencies.
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations to ensure no interruptions in production.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field required. Master’s degree preferred
- Supervised 25 or more associates in an FDA controlled, SQF or cGMP production environment
- Experience in the medical cannabis industry not required, but a plus
- A high-touch, credible, hands on, visible leader with instant credibility and inspiring to the team
- Demonstrated track record in team building and driving operational efficiencies
- 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing and logistics; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Lean manufacturing or six sigma knowledge a plus
- Outstanding people skills, organizational skills, and a passionate leadership style
- Start-up experience, a plus
- Team player with the ability to gain consensus through collaboration and open dialogue
- A sense of urgency, high energy, and hands-on approach
- Ability to pass a background check. Current Driver’s license required

Experience
- 10+ years' experience in management, leadership, manufacturing and production
- Knowledge of inventory control, production operations, packaging operations, order management, performance metrics, costs, and other techniques.
- Possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail
Working conditions
This person may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree. This person will be travelling between dispensaries and manufacturing facilities within AYR Wellness.
Physical Requirements

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
- Frequently communicates with employees, supervisors and co-workers regarding HR related inquiries. You must be able to exchange absolute information.
- Constant movement and use of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
- Must be able to inspect documents and identify errors.
- Occasional lifting, positioning or moving items up to 50 pounds.
