We are currently looking for a reliable Post Harvest Production Technician who can provide manual labor which supports the post-cultivation activities. This position will be responsible for preparing plants and processing harvests for the sale of flower, trim, and pre-rolls. The ideal candidate for this position should be a self-motivated and driven individual; who has a positive attitude and is prepared to work hard. This person should be willing and able to prepare, harvest, and trim marijuana plants with expert care and precision. The following is a list of duties associated with this position.
- Participate in cannabis harvest processes including de-leafing, harvesting of wet plants, sanitizing and reloading flower rooms, and handling cannabis waste per OLCC requirements.
- Trim dried product with quality and care (up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
- Cleans and sanitizes all spaces in facility
- Assisting with packaging and weighing as requested
- May include participating in pre-roll production
- Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
- Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes.
- Follow all company procedures, OLCC rules, State laws, and directives given by management staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fast paced, hands-on environment with high attention to detail preferred
- Must be highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Must have good attention to detail and ability to focus on one task for extended periods of time
- Can adapt to and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced production environment
- Have the ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

POST PRODUCTION CANNABIS TECHNICIAN-TRIMMER
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Post Production Technician-Trimmer is primarily responsible for the efficiency and quality of cannabis plant during harvesting, drying, curing, and packaging. Efficiently bucks and trims plants. The right candidate demonstrates proficiency, organization, calmness, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment; is resourceful and able to work both independently and with a team, and prioritizes quality and customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Breakdown flowers off stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product. This includes identifying and separating fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower
- Sit or stand for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming. Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming: adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality
- Weighing and recording weights including green waste and using METRC as applicable
- Track the metrics for the trimming process
- Clean up all production areas and tools between strains and at the end of every shift
- Understand and follow all rules and regulations for harvest and inventory management including wet weight measurements, dry weight measurements, and harvest batch requirements as set out in the State of Michigan regulations
- Understand and follow all safety protocols, compliance and SOP’s. Help refine and develop SOPs through each stage of the post-harvest process.
- Follow all state regulations, SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A year of experience in cannabis cultivation is preferred, but not required
- The candidate should have a HS diploma or equivalent, a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on agriculture, manufacturing, crop management or business, and/or 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- A background in quality control is a plus.
- The ideal candidate is focused on quality, inventory organization and ability to monitor every stage of the post-harvest process and compliance.
- Key qualities this position includes computer skills including data entry, technically inclined, versatile, highly organized and detail oriented, problem solving and analysis skills.
- Ability to work as a team member in a highly organized environment with strong attention to detail.

Summary
The Production Technician , reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, is responsible for executing and maintaining all daily operations of the Production and Packaging Department to achieve the company initiatives. Additionally, the Production Technician maintains the policies and procedures of the company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Trimming marijuana flower and packaging across the company production departments for the company RMDs and home delivery orders
- Coordinating waste disposal upon completion of each order and ensure policies and procedures for waste disposal are adhered to.
- Ensuring waste is properly stored, either in the Plant Trash Bins or the General/Non-Plant Trash Bins.
- Ensuring products are properly stored and labeled.
- Auditing and recording all weights of all cannabis material given by Production Lead from start to order completion on the appropriate Control Sheet. Immediately informing Production Lead of any discrepancies in weights
- Working with Cultivation Team to assist in harvests as needed
- Executing the preparation, production, and packaging of cannabis products
- Monitoring, cleaning and maintaining all trim and packaging equipment and operate all equipment safely in its intended manner.
- Completing all orders of products or trimmed cannabis as delegated from Production Supervisor in an efficient and timely manner, meeting all necessary deadlines
- Requesting equipment maintenance, purchases, and repairs with the Production Manager as a need is noticed
- Ensure compliance at all times with all sanitation regulations and safety standards in the production of all extracted products produced by the company as set in the company’s Policy and Procedure Manuals
- Performing duties as needed outlined in the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
- Reviewing Communication Binder for current information and updates at the start of every shift
- Executing and enforcing compliance of all local and state regulations.
- Follow weekly schedules to ensure there is proper coverage based on the business needs
- Upholding all the company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work occasional overtime when needed
Training & Development:
- Consistent development of trimming and packaging skills.
- Participating in quarterly department meetings.
- Owning personal training and development regarding current on product knowledge and policies and procedures and seeking out answers as needed from the Production Manager
- Providing documentation and feedback to the Extraction Manager for the completion of team annual performance evaluations self-evaluations.
- Following flawlessly all of the company Time and Attendance Policies
Driving Business/Sales:
- Ensuring that trimmed product is producing sufficient flowers to meet the needs of MIPs and extractions.
Controlling & Preventing Loss:
- Proficient in product protection.
- Maintaining current and up to date knowledge of security procedures and protocols as applicable to position and facility.
- Assisting in the execution of monthly product and supply inventory audits as needed
- Maintaining current and up to date knowledge Loss Prevention (LP) procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills.

- Being proactive.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs
- Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:

- Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
