The Post-Harvest / Production Technician will assist in all aspects of post-harvest production. Post-Harvest / Production Technicians assist with harvesting, drying, curing, and packaging the flowers based on various work instructions, processes, and techniques performed as a part of daily routine operations. Under the direction and guidance of the team's management, techs will be responsible for meeting timely deadlines and goals. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Post Production Technician-Trimmer is primarily responsible for the efficiency and quality of cannabis plant during harvesting, drying, curing, and packaging. Efficiently bucks and trims plants. The right candidate demonstrates proficiency, organization, calmness, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment; is resourceful and able to work both independently and with a team, and prioritizes quality and customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Breakdown flowers off stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product. This includes identifying and separating fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower
- Sit or stand for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming. Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming: adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality
- Weighing and recording weights including green waste and using METRC as applicable
- Track the metrics for the trimming process
- Clean up all production areas and tools between strains and at the end of every shift
- Understand and follow all rules and regulations for harvest and inventory management including wet weight measurements, dry weight measurements, and harvest batch requirements as set out in the State of Michigan regulations
- Understand and follow all safety protocols, compliance and SOP’s. Help refine and develop SOPs through each stage of the post-harvest process.

Production Technician (Post Harvest)
Summary:
The Production Technician post-harvest is member of our Operations team responsible for post-harvest trimming, inventory tracking and biomass quality maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Movement of biomass from harvest to post-harvest areas
Operate an automated trimming machine (sitting or standing)
Disease inspection (disease and pest identification)
Keeping accurate documentation and records for all post-harvest activities (weights for trim, flower, waste, etc.)
Following SOPs regarding biomass security, storage, safety and cleaning of areas and equipment
Ensure product and work efforts are in compliance at all times
Daily closing checklist of trim and post-harvest areas
Inspection of work areas, equipment, and uniforms
Other duties as designated by Supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to perform accurate data entry in Excel and track and trace
Strong verbal and communication skills
Problem solver and team player who approaches problems and opportunities with passion and integrity
High attention to detail and work accuracy
Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Must be at least 21 years of age
May not be convicted of any felony offenses pursuant to state statues and able to pass a state background check
Valid driver's license
Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or Bachelor's degree
Expertise in the cannabis industry with post-harvest cannabis operations preferred

As a member of the post production technician team you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of product and appearance, and preparation for distribution of our products.
As the Post Production Technician you will:
- Effectively trim dry cannabis using trimming scissors
- Accurately weigh and record trim weights
- Maintain and clean trim room work space
- Maintain the quality of the plant
- Maintain an organized work environment
- Execute all activities from taking down harvest from dry room
- Track and record all manufacturing data
- Keep dry rooms and manufacturing areas fully operational
- Take part in overall facility cleanliness
- Participate in tracking production batches
- Inform supervisor if material is out of specification
- Communicate well with your supervisor and team
- Perform other job duties as necessary
- Be able to work weekends as needed
Your experience and skills include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- The ability pass a background check

Job Summary:
The Post Production Staff is responsible for all aspects of plant processing from post-crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team and SOPs. Job Responsibilities:
- Work as a team to prepare plants for the curing process including removing fan leaves, moving/hanging of plants, and cleaning the work area
- Complete all other Post Production tasks including bucking, trimming, packaging, and cleaning
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
- Take direction from the Director of Post Production and help with any assigned tasks
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, and ensure the trim room is left clean and ready for the following day
- Aid the garden staff when needed with cleaning, pruning, harvesting, etc.
- Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
- Work in a quick and efficient manner
- Ensure daily compliance with policies including but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code and work schedules
Requirements:
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
- Possess valid driver's license or state ID
- Be able to pass all background checks
- Be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
