- Establish relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs.
- Responsible for the development of managerial and operational skill sets of store management.
- Develops and maintains expertise in Learning & Development practices, staying current with the instructional design, industry trends and research.
- Execute continued education programs, attend seminars and workshops for further cannabis industry education.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills •Breadth of experience in opening retail locations and building out training practices
- Experience with writing SOPs, work instructions, training materials and working with a Learning Management System
- Previous use and management of Point of Sale systems
- Demonstrate high level of professionalism and confidentiality as well as being able to relate comfortably to people in all levels of the organization
- Highly flexible and adaptable – working in a fast-paced start-up involves daily shifting priorities; able to go with the flow and adjust to changing needs quickly
- Significant travel required (30%), must have flexibility to accommodate travel schedule

Crisis Solutionist Inc. is a full service investigative, security and training firm. The majority of our staff are retired state and federal law enforcement officers and prosecutors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the law enforcement field and preferably be a former prosecutor. Our training section provides canned and customized training courses to meet our client's needs. We have been certified by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission to provide legislatively mandated Responsible Vendor Training to licensed cannabis facilities and their employees. We provide training on a contract basis for companies and we host specialized training courses in the investigation and security fields where individuals can purchase a seat to attend a specialized course that we host off-site. In addition to training, our instructors present 60-90 minute sessions on fraud, corruption, leadership, ethics, sexual harassment, interview techniques, behavioral threat assessment, and management, as well as case study findings across the country.
This is a part-time position contractor position to start we fully expect the position to become a fulltime position within a year of hire.
To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience organizing trainings and designing educational curriculums. Ultimately, you will oversee course development and be an essential member of the CS team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee learning activities, curriculum, and resources
- Manage quarterly and annual training budgets
- Evaluate the results of all offerings
- Recommend new training methods (including e-learning courses and micro training
- Identify off-site training sites and negotiate contracts
- Maintain all training records, to include Responsible Vendor Training records in accordance with the legislative mandate
- Scheduling
- Identify and recruit talent
- Maintain and renew as needed the certification from NABSA, ASIS, SHRM that allow our courses to be offered as continuing professional education credits (CPE)
Skills:
- Juris Doctorate preferred
- Work experience as a Training Director, Training Manager or similar role
- In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching)
- Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skill
- Public speaking skills as this is a mandated part of the position
