Good Day Farm is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team at the corporate office in downtown Little Rock. Good Day Farm’s approach to medical cannabis is straightforward: good people, good cannabis, good day. The core of our mission is to deliver high quality cannabis products and support and educate our communities on the tremendous healing benefits of this medicinal plant—and it all starts with our people.
The Financial Accountant assists with the entire accounting and month-end close process with a focus on reporting compliance, accuracy of month-end financials, and maintaining effective communication with both internal & external clients. There is also a heavy focus on maintaining timeliness of invoicing receivables and processing payables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Core knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and adherence to those.
- Understanding of the timing and need for accruals and deferrals.
- Monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
- Responsible for daily monitoring of accounts payables and receivables.
- Responsible for accurate and timely month-end closing processes including variance explanations on the balance sheet & income statement.
- Support daily revenue operations (sales orders, invoicing, collections). Including reconciliation of various systems that report sales at month-end.
- Verify excise tax is appropriately recorded in the accounting system and compliance with excise tax filings and regulations.
- Maintain listing of vendor contracts, payables and invoices.
- Review customer contracts for payment obligations and due dates.
- Collaborate with other teams on business changes and new revenue products to ensure accurate recognition and best practices related to revenue accounting, the close process, and internal controls.
- Inventory assistance specifically month-end reconciliations.
- Process new vendor applications and ensure accurate entry in the accounting system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- QuickBooks Online experience (preferred).
- Microsoft Suite experience with an emphasis on intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented, with strong analytical skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment.
- Preferred: 2 years of prior working experience in an accounting department.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following represents a non-exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position:
- Design, develop and launch industry specific learning.
- Conduct learning and development in technical skills, soft skills, employee engagement, management development, and team development.
- Work in both live in-person and virtual environments, as determined by organizational needs, to provide an optimal method to deliver training.
- Administer a learning management system and maintain documentation on the training path for Tracks departmental training records and provide analysis to management.
- Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Coordinate materials and other logistics for course delivery.
- Manage organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Work effectively as a team member with other members of management, trainers, and the HR staff.
- Reconcile spending against training budget..
- Facilitate other courses as assigned
- Travel required up to 75% of the time
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 3 years of organizational development experience and management experience
- Minimum 8 years in HR / Training positions
- Strong facilitation skills, and demonstrated experience training professionals of varying skill levels in both live in-person and live-virtual environments
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience analyzing existing practices, recommend improvements and lead change initiatives as it relates to course delivery and initiatives
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Relevant certification (i.e., CPLP, CPTM, CTDP, and CTP) and/or a certification in HR preferred
- Prior experience in the Cannabis industry is a major plus
- Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.

Responsibilities
- Take an idea from brainstorm to final production in print and digital
- Successfully executes a large volume of revisions to an asset with minimal oversight
- Prioritize projects and work load for all team members, to meet critical deadlines
- Work on multiple assets from packaging to marketing collateral
- Steward the visual identity, typography, palette, photography, and principal design systems of the brand; evolving where necessary
- Understands and speaks print language, colors, and finishes
- Has experience in packaging design
- Ensures all designs are compliant and will pass state approvals
- Render experience preferred but not required
- Product photography masking and touch up experience
- Highly detailed and organizational skills needed
