POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Training Director will oversee and lead the Training team for the state of Florida. You will be responsible for guiding new and existing retail locations on One Plant standards and expectations. You will maintain budget and ensure cohesive processes and procedures to achieve a consistent patience experience across the state. As a people leader you will recruit, train, develop and reward your team to maintain performance standards. As an integral member of the regional Management team, you will work cross functionally with Retail, Human Resources, Compliance and Marketing and liaison with Corporate Training leadership.
The successful candidate will be a training expert, have a passion for driving results and building high-performing teams; you must possess a high level of professionalism while simultaneously creating a fun work environment and embodying the culture of One Plant.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish goals and objectives for Training team.
Manage all costs associated with Training while maintaining budget.
Lead, coach, and train your Team on Company Standards and Operational Procedures.
Assist in recruiting, hiring, and retaining a high performing team.
Assist in employee evaluations, documentation, coaching's, and trainings. Provides constructive feedback that facilitates improvement.
Provide expert guidance to all Training staff including customer service, strategy, operations, & product.
Proactively mitigate business, operational & governance risks.
Maintain and enforce a culture of compliance for all activities with strict adherence to the Florida Statues for THC and CBD products, as well as regulations set forth by local, state and federal agencies such as OSHA.
Expertise within:
Seed-to-sale POS/CRM (Biotrack THC)
FL Dept. of Health OMMU Patient Registry
Delivery software task management
Microsoft Office
Ability to stay current with existing and new technology platforms as needed
Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Desire to constantly learn and seek out new information about cannabis as a medicine and understand cannabis in general. Work with in-house cannabis experts, including our Chief Medical and Chief Scientific Officers, to continue your journey of cannabis education.
New Store Openings:
Work in partnership with the New Store Opening Director and project management teams for new store orientation, and training.
Partner with Retail Management and Human Resources to establish hiring and store opening timelines for all new stores.
Schedule and facilitate new store team training schedule coordinating with Retail Management, HR and other key stakeholders to ensure best in class onboarding.
Train the New Dispensary team on Retail Operating policies and procedures to achieve an exceptional patient experience and ensure the Dispensary meets Company and OMMU regulations.
Ensure onsite support of New Dispensary team for opening week and follow up to ensure continuous improvement
Training:
Partner with Retail and Cresco Training Director to establish training materials and continuously work to improve materials to ensure content is current, relevant and in compliance with standard operating procedures and state rules and regulations.
Partner with Cresco Director of Training to ensure alignment Company wide.
Support the creation and ongoing updates to company retail training policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, job aids, etc. that will have a lasting impact on our future success and growth of One Plant's training infrastructure for medical cannabis dispensaries.
Ensure proper tracking and records management for all training activities.
Maintains practical subject matter expertise in all retail positions as well as familiarity and understanding of FL state's cannabis laws and regulations.
Develop and maintain processes for prioritizing learning requests.
Schedule and facilitate the day-to-day learning activities and logistics for all retail employees in training to establish consistent patient experiences across the state and ensure dispensaries meet One Plant and regulatory expectations.
Evaluate performance of managers-in-training and addresses opportunities through coaching and feedback. Ensure all trainees have demonstrated the ability to meet performance standards and Company expectations.
Establish relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs.
Assist in creating, revising, and continually update curriculum to facilitate strategic training of sales, customer service, and all operational training programs for Florida retail locations based on One Plant standards and expectations. Expeditious
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or comparable experience.
Management experience in a retail environment required.
Experience training in a retail environment required.
Professional experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with writing SOPs, work instructions, training materials and working with a Learning Management System preferred.
Knowledge of Biotrack system preferred.
Demonstrate high level of professionalism and confidentiality as well as being able to relate comfortably to people in all levels of the organization.
People management skills: develop high performing teams and a pro at making tough, strategic decisions to drive your business.
Highly flexible and adaptable – working in a fast-paced start-up involves daily shifting priorities; able to go with the flow and adjust to changing needs quickly.
Ability to travel throughout the state 70% of the time.
Be flexible to be available for weekend hours as needed.
Physical Demands:
The Regional Training Manager must be able to speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, and bend. Sedentary work: standing, walking and sitting for prolonged periods of time – repetitive motion of hands, fingers and wrists.
