The Role

As the Social Media Strategy Manager, you will lead national social media for GTI Retail Brands. You are responsible for the complete stewardship of Social Media as an integral piece of the larger Communication Channel Strategy and Consumer Journey (aka path-to-purchase). Your purview includes social channel strategy (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, other), content strategy, supervision of content development/production, campaign execution, and tracking/reporting KPIs. The overall goal of this position is to simultaneously build brand through content engagement and effectively move consumers through the sales funnel (acquisition and retention of followers). A crucial part of this role is to collaborate and coordinate with team members assigned to SEO, digital strategy, community management and reputation management. The Social Media Strategy Manager will report to the Retail Marketing Brand Director. The Social Media Strategy Manager will also play a role guiding social media content supplied by from the corporate organization, store managers, and other hyper-local initiatives.

Responsibilities

Social Media Subject Matter Expert

• Represent the role of social channels in relationship to consumer behavior and retail brand goals; develop social marketing strategies that are native to individual channels and demonstrate tangible ROI


• Develop tactics, plans, partnerships, tools and creative partners that help achieve the business goals


• Seek out strategic partnership opportunities with content publishers


• Be at the cutting edge of the cultural zeitgeist; understanding internet, social and meme culture and how to credibly and sensitively work within it while maintaining brand safety/compliance


• Grow and manage social engagement ensuring milestones are set and met

• Establish and maintain collaborative/cooperative relationship with GTI Social Media Team to create a culture of best practices, sharing, and continuity

Content Strategy, Development and Management

• Develop and maintain a complete Social Media Content Strategy and Calendar that works in sync with the larger Promotional Calendar of the brands, cultural calendars (key cannabis holidays), and GTI product news/introductions


• Execute social media publishing strategies ensuring that all posts are accurate, punctual, safe; implement brand filters that ensure we are "on-brand"

• Demonstrate how brands participate in social media in an authentic way


• Maintain relationships with external and internal agencies/design teams to brief and manage original content creation; manage creative partner relationships.


• Explore the creative boundaries of the medium using technology tools and external resources

Reporting, Analytics, Insights

• Collect, analyze and use social data to affect change


• Identify opportunities and vulnerabilities for the brands using listening and sentiment analysis


• Report on campaigns and augment our approach based on analysis to ensure the most effective approach


• Maintain competitive intelligence


• Set retail brand performance baselines and goals

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in marketing or related field preferred

• 6-8 years in a related marketing role


• Must have strong work ethic and attention to detail


• The candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about cannabis, culture


• Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail


• Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines

• Must be self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously


• Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of GTI


• Must have a solid understanding of the Medical Cannabis laws and regulations, rules and regulations set forth by the state and the D.O.A.; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable

The Role

LeafLink is looking for a Strategy Manager to join our growing team in New York City, reporting directly to our Chief Business Officer. We know that to tackle our toughest challenges, we need different approaches, unique perspectives, and new ways of thinking. We have built and continue to expand our team of creative problem-solvers from a diverse group of industries, specialties and backgrounds.

This role will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on market trends, M&A activity, state by state regulatory updates, and all other influences on the cannabis industry. Additionally, this person will be responsible for stress testing LeafLink's current strategy and ideating on additional initiatives LeafLink should consider. This role will actively work with LeafLink's leadership team to determine how various market forces influence LeafLink's strategy, prioritization framework, and decision making activity.

What You'll be Doing

• Manage the tracking and reporting of relevant cannabis industry trends and market activity on an ongoing basis
• Analyze market data and trends relative to the impact it may have on LeafLink's strategy
• Manage analysts that support the ongoing research and analysis required to properly perform the objectives set forth by our Chief Business Officer
• Leverage inputs from ongoing industry assessments in assisting with the development of the short, medium and long-term strategic plan for LeafLink
• Work on special projects as it pertains to new company initiatives or strategic scenario planning
• Lead and take ownership of the financial and data analysis that supports the strategic plan
• Work closely with LeafLink's GTM and partnership teams as needed to help craft deal structures and pertinent narratives
• Develop a process to facilitate cross functional input and engagement on informing LeafLink's strategic plan
• Present findings and analysis to LeafLink's leadership team on an as needed basis

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in strategy consulting, equity research, management consulting, investment banking, or other strategic functions
• Goal oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding performance goals
• Experienced in developing management and board level presentations
• Track record of structured problem solving, and high degree of autonomy, while driving large business outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills – able to evaluate opportunities from strategic, financial, and operational perspectives.
• Ability to present to C-Suite with comfort
• Exposure or experience covering the high growth technology companies in payments, logistics and/or software..
• High energy, passionate, positive, flexible and very outcomes focused
• Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal & written) with the ability to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and on your feet with a broad range of stakeholders.

The Role

The Manager of Commercial Strategy and Planning is a high-visibility role responsible for helping to define and drive Green Thumb's lofty commercial ambitions. This individual will work cross-functionally and bring a people-first mindset to build and execute an integrated commercial strategy that spans our retail and wholesale businesses across each market GTI operates within. Reporting into the Vice President, Commercial Planning and Marketing with significant exposure to the executive leadership team, this role will partner closely with our retail, wholesale sales, planning, and production teams to serve as the go-to resource for commercial strategy, planning, insights, and strategic initiative execution.

Requirements:

Strategy Development:

• Develop and refine commercial strategies for markets, channels, and strategic customers based on current landscape, regulatory frameworks, and future ambitions
• Build and manage national commercial calendar and annual planning process, coordinating and integrating cross-functional input and priorities to develop a consolidated annual plan
• Support evaluation of commercial performance and develop recommendations to improve effectiveness of our market execution strategies
• Guide development of product and channel level forecasts and develop supporting strategy that will inform executive leadership's growth objectives
• Develop presentations and cohesive storylines for the above projects, adapting each to the target audience (e.g., retail operations vs. sales team vs. executive leadership)

Analysis, Insights, and Organizational Effectiveness:

• Leverage data and insights from the field to identify drivers of our business and model implications of changes based on strategic shifts and/or regulatory changes
• Lead and/or collaborate on ad-hoc analysis on brand, category, channel, and market level performance to support strategic objectives and business goals
• Serve as source of expertise for commercial best practices
• Evaluate the effectiveness of key strategic commercial and market initiatives with regular reporting to senior leadership

• Identify, develop, and execute enhancements and expansion of our commercial resources and effectiveness tools

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate closely with Wholesale Sales, Retail, CPG Marketing, Production, Finance, and Operations, along with other cross functional counterparts to ensure quality of recommendations and successful outcomes
• Support commercial leadership in the development of messaging and presentations for key internal and external meetings
• Collaborate closely with Finance and IT to enhance reporting and analytics systems

Leadership:

• Establish Commercial Strategy & Planning as a go-to resource for high-quality analytics and concise executive-level communication of business performance, opportunities, and strategies

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree required
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of graduating experience in management consulting or sales/corporate strategy role, CPG experience preferred
• Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Understanding of the cannabis market and/or similar highly regulated industries (e.g. Alcohol Beverage, Tobacco, etc.)

• Collaboration: Experience working within a highly matrixed function and partnering with various groups – sales, brand marketing, retail operations, etc.
• Project/Process/Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, with a focus on managing stakeholders and proactively identifying differing perspectives to anticipate and address gaps in
• Presentation Effectiveness: Ability to translate insights into structured presentations that highlight key takeaways; Ability to present effectively to senior audiences
• Advanced Analytics: Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets to inform decision making

Your role:
A Senior Project Manager (SPM) on the Strategy team is someone who can independently generate insights and is expected to influence and support senior decision makers using robust analysis and strong communication skills. Specifically, a SPM will:

What You'll Do:

• Build discipline into our organization, creating stable infrastructure and building repeatable processes within the CRM and org wide
• Support the front line and management with systems, process and reporting improvements that allow them to better operate their functional areas and provide accurate forecasting at the top level of the business
• Support Lead to Opportunity efficiency through lead management optimizations and dashboards, creating visibility and accountability into our demand generation engine
• Own work streams within the Go-To-Market plan that deal with our territory strategy and optimizations, and the ad-hoc or regularly scheduled efforts to operationalize this work during hiring and planning periods
• Own the quote to cash process by implementing systems and/or process that decreases the length of time for our internal deal desk processes while increasing the data fidelity around quotes, contracts, and products in system
• Collaborate with CS and Product to build Jira integrations to track, measure, support client request and opportunities in order to support and prioritize product roadmap.
• Support Comp and Quota design with guidance and input from Finance and Leadership

Requirements:

• 3-4+ years of experience in Sales or Business Operations at a SaaS based company
• BA/BS degree and field experience working in a Tech company
• Deep experience leveraging a variety of business systems to solve complex problems that drive business outcomes
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, Excel/Google Sheets, other platforms to drive business efficiency
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute proactively instead of reactively and lead a project from conception to completion
• Strong attention to details and numbers
