Cannabis Production Associate Cannabis Kitchen Jobs

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will work in multiple ground-level production processes including; Kitchen, Packaging, and Oil Portioning to create the finished cannabis infused products at our Denver, Colorado Kitchen and Warehouse. As business demands change this role will be responsible for kitchen duties including food preparation, kitchen cleanup, kitchen setup, cleaning, and dishwashing; as well as packaging duties including inserting edibles into packaging, affixing labels to packaging, boxing packages, portioning cannabis oil, filling pens and packaging other products as needed. This role operates in a fast-paced assembly line environment to accomplish larger production goals with the rest of the team. Employees should be aware of, and able to maintain Marijuana Enforcement Division and Health Department regulations and handle food products in a sanitized work-space.

POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES

1. Kitchen functions may include (but not limited to) pouring chocolate, making gummies, prep-work, and cleaning.

2. Packaging functions may include (but not limited to) inserting candy into packaging, applying labels, and boxing packages for distribution.

3. Oil portioning and pen filling include (but not limited to) gramming cannabis oil and injecting oil into pen cartridges and other products.

4. Other product packaging as needed.

5. Employee will clean their designated area in accordance with standard operating procedures.

6. Help manage inventories by following plan of production laid out by managers each day.

7. Ensure dishes and pots and pans are washed after shifts.

8. Attend meetings when requested.

9. Sweep and mop area, general cleaning.

10. Receive and put away orders and deliveries in storeroom and freezer on days needed.

11. Perform heavy cleaning, such as ovens and etc, when needed.

12. Perform other duties as required.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

1. Possess or able to obtain a Support badge from Colorado MED

2. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

3. Work experience in food services.

4. Knowledge of health code and MED regulations.

5. Reliable transportation.

6. Perform simple math and follow recipes

About This Role

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 years

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proper labeling of batches/units, packages, boxes, etc to ensures accuracy and state requirements are met




• Employees must adhere to all operational standards and guidelines, including food quality and safety, individual and team safety, as well as cleanliness and sanitation.




• Must follow previously established SOP’s for cooking all products manufactured in the kitchen.




• Assemble, maintain, clean and store cooking equipment for daily business




• Package, label and organize cannabis edibles for distribution




• Work alongside fellow kitchen crew to meet daily goals




• Label everything according to the batch ticket assigned




• Daily reporting of waste/spoilage/theft.

This position is for a Production Team Member for the kitchen. Our top products are confections, with a current focus on candy and chocolate. This is a hand crafted edible kitchen that is currently incorporating automation. As we are infusing food items, attention to detail is very important. With this being a manufacturing role, this is a physical job. Please anticipate sitting/standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, squatting, and reaching. Further advancement includes opportunities to help and learn about the other areas of production. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during the day with some variation as the business dictates. You report to and follow the lead of the Production Manager of Edibles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pouring chocolate
• Infusing and completing recipes with accuracy
• Lift, shake, and move 15-50 lbs
• Using machinery that is part of the production process
• Packaging and Labeling products
• Assist with keeping ingredients safely stocked
• Clean/sanitize/prepare all surfaces, dishes, and storage for production
