CORE JOB DUTIES
- Demonstrate technical leadership, functioning as a technical thought leader on project teams, taking accountability for overall product results including final product construction and design
- Support the product development process for flower-based SKUs, from concept to commercialization for Consumer-Packaged Goods
- Execute the development of pre-rolls and infused pre-rolls for both automation and manual manufacturing environments
- Establish strain-specific standards across new flower strains
- Prepare facility documentation needed for production, processing, and packaging teams to be able to effectively hit the product specs for new SKUs to new markets
- Uphold and train on Brand Standards across all flower product categories and brand tiers when developing new SKUs
- Design and execute experiments when needed to systematically characterize functional properties of chemical and physical flower attributes
- Ability to analyze tests and experiments and appropriately make recommendations for product changes needed to achieve defined product targets and expectations
- Create bench-top prototypes for new or modified flower SKUs
- Conduct stability testing and record results for new flower genetics and SKUs

- Prepare and present demo items to management and cross-functional teams
- Support all flower and pre-roll launches - Organize, create and conduct training with internal employees for new product launches or new equipment implementation
- Coordination of projects and opportunities to ensure work is properly organized, scheduled and completed on time
- Support the brand's need to identify and understand what the brand stands for in the minds of consumers including brand identity, essence, vision, mission and core values to drive relevant communications and innovation
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Technical degree in plant cultivation, biological sciences, chemistry, conservation, sustainability, product design or a similarly related technical field
- 1-3 years experience in cannabis cultivation, product development, or cannabis R&D preferably with an MSO
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of the cannabis industry and the fundamental scientific properties of the cannabis plant and it's derivatives

Product Development Manager/Marketing Associate needed in an extremely fast paced, highly competitive cannabis company. Associate must be a self motivated, strong individual who is highly flexible and open to take direction and criticism from different people. Associate will work with CEO and COO. to determine what products are needed, created and produced. Role is to determine how company can meet business targets while providing new products that will serve the needs of their clients. We want to ultimately produce products that will represent the brand image of their company and meet customer expectations for quality and function.
Associate will be involved with all stages of a product's life cycle. Generating ideas, identify gaps in company's product line to determine where there is need for products. Associate will research to assess the potential demand, source materials and service providers, request proposals, oversee production, coordinate efforts with Medcare CEO & COO as well as confer with marketing staff to ensure the product will fit with existing marketing strategies and ensure products meets the highest of expectations. They will also be responsible in making sure that all cannabis compliance laws and regulations are followed. They will be involved from idea-source-production-launch and sale.
Will also work in conjunction with executive staff and marketing to improve movement of existing product lines, promotions, events and various other avenues.
Cannabis brands and product knowledge a plus, but not required. Must be a minimum age of 21 by law to be considered.

Product Development Manager
Position Objective:
We are seeking an energetic, fast moving and flexible Product Development Manager to own the entire Product Development Lifecycle. As Product Development Manager, you will develop the vision, strategy and roadmap playing a key role in growing company revenue. Using your experience in managing products, you will be required to build business cases ideating and supporting products that will delight and engage stakeholders and customers alike.
Essential Functions:
- Setting the strategic vision and tactical priorities for the development and planning of the product roadmap
- Support and review design, prototyping, vendor relations for supply chain insuring conformity to regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Representing the Voice of the Customer in all product programs and assure the necessary research (qualitative and quantitative) has been done to validate customer hypotheses.
- Identifying new opportunities, defining business case and driving organizational alignment.
- Assuring business commitments can be made and kept by the product team.
- Prioritizing and planning the resources needed to deliver products on budget and on time.
- Owning and delivering on the customer experience, engagement and business metrics including acquisition, engagement, and revenue
- Managing product reviews and communicating with stakeholders on status, trade-offs, issues and dependencies
- Rapid and appropriate escalation of critical issues
- Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale.
Knowledge and Other Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience owning and driving end-to-end complex product requirements
- BA or BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Seasoned product owner in an Agile and/or Lean development environment
- Ability to earn the trust teams, stakeholders and leadership
- Experience partnering closely with cross functional teams to produce break-through products
- Demonstrated ability to discover and translate customer needs into business and product requirements using a variety of research techniques.
- Ability to investigate problems at hand, dive deep to the root cause, and find systematic gaps while supporting conclusions with analytical data
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom
- Excel at delivering results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
- Good time and resource management skills simplifying product roadmaps, establishing owners and timelines, and reporting status
- Proficiency in Tableau, Google Analytics and/or other business analytics platforms
- Good written and verbal communication skills are a must

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years in product management
- MBA or MS in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Strong A/B testing background, with experience using Optimizely, Google Optimize, or equivalent
- Cannabis experience highly desirable
