Position Overview:
The Pharmacist is responsible for consulting with qualified patients and caregivers and administering approved medical marijuana products. The Pharmacist oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility to include patient identification and registration, record retention, product tracking and inventory control. This position requires that the incumbent maintains an active State pharmacist license and has completed the course(s) pursuant to the Statute.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Ensuring compliance with all State Medical Marijuana Program rules and regulations governing the Act, and directly supervising the activity within the dispensary to include dispensary staff training and education.
- Providing management and leadership in the Dispensing Facility to include monitoring all point of sale transactions.
- Managing patient specific logs as required, receiving, storage and auditing of all inventory, and is responsible for ordering new inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records using ADILAS, the Dispensing Facility’s inventory tracking software program.
- As the responsible party at the Dispensing Facility, this position resolves all inventory discrepancies as well as any patient-staff conflicts.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in the pharmaceutical sciences; Pharm. D. preferred.
- An active license in good standing without restrictions.
- Satisfactory completion of the State Medical Use of Marijuana CME designation.
- Familiarity with computers.
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) with patient-oriented drug delivery systems and a passion for patient care and service delivery.
Additional Abilities Required:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (or more with assistance). The Role
We are seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist to direct and manage the dispensing of cannabis products to the patients of our [CITY] dispensary. In this role, you'll serve as the onsite medical authority, ensuring patients receive correct dosage along with a healthy amount of education and counseling. You'll have the unique opportunity to serve as a one-on-one educator to our cannabis patients, and you'll excel at completing a prospective drug utilization review to assess: appropriateness of therapy; appropriate strain, dosage, route, and duration; allergies and drug interactions contraindications; and possible misuse. All in all, we're looking for someone blazing with passion for medical cannabis who also has the medical expertise to help our patients use it responsibly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Pharmacists shall be in-store at all times during their scheduled shift to allow for dispensation of cannabis products.
- Responsible for securing coverage for any time off (paid time off or unpaid time off). Schedule changes shall be communicated with dispensary managers in advance and expected to follow fair scheduling practices.
- Assess patient certification to monitor for restrictions and where appropriate help patients to determine best course of treatment.
- Drive retail sales and patient retention
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws
- Communicate restrictions with dispensary team to ensure any limitations on product selection/quantity
- Provide timely and accurate medication information to patients over the phone and in-person
- Educate new and existing patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis
- Consults patients and assesses patient's certification to recommend best course of treatment
- Responsible to stay up to date on current research and information related to cannabis/marijuana
- Pharmacists may assist with additional dispensary tasks, as store manager deems fit. These include but are not limited to accepting product deliveries, returns, inventory controls, employee trainings, fulfilling online orders, and completing patient orders at the registers

Qualifications
- Must be a registered and licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of operations
- 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience with an excellent patient and customer focused approach
- Ability to learn and understand cannabinoids and how they interact with the human body
- Previous experience utilizing Point of Sale technology systems.
- Working knowledge of inventory and sales reporting
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness

Curaleaf Utah is seeking a Full Time Dispensary/Pharmacist Agents who will be responsible for ensuring each Curaleaf patient receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly environment, assist members with their personal needs, maintain solid product knowledge, facilitate new membership and member renewal processes and always provide the highest level of customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with established standards.
- Develop and maintain rapport with our customers, vendors, service providers and staff.
- Ensure customers' concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently, and communicate requests and/or problems to management when needed.
- Recommend, select and help locate the proper product for customer depending on their individual needs.
- Communicate the effects of different types of cannabis to customers clearly and effectively.
- Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management.
- Set up and break down display cases daily. Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock, and participate in inventory counts.
- Frequently maintain dispensary's cleanliness, i.e. dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping and sanitization.
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other related work as required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience in the medical cannabis industry desirable, but not required.
- Must be 21 years old and pass the criminal background check.
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:
