Cannabis Extraction Lab Technician
JOB OVERVIEW: The Extraction Lab Technician supports the preparation and execution of the extraction process. This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, efficacy, and efficiency of the manufacturing processes.
The Extraction LabTechnician will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks including prepping, measuring, extracting, refining, and packaging of cannabis products.
The Extraction Technician must monitor and maintain the laboratory environment in accordance with company needs and state regulations.
REPORTS TO: Head of Extraction
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Properly handle pre-extraction plant matter with care and attention. * Perform extractions following standard operating procedures. * Provide vital systematic cleaning and sanitization of the extraction laboratory. * Understand and comply to procedures, methodologies, and compliance steps for tracking cannabis product from seed to sale. * Accurately calibrate scales and balances to ensure proper measurement of products. * Ensure consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing, standard operating procedures and proper documentation. * Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net and other personal protective equipment, etc. * Sanitize all production equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, and machinery. * Assist Head of Extraction with the creation of batch production records and labels in accordance with state regulations. * Assist Head of Extraction with the weighing, packaging, labeling, and documentation of all products, as well as the tracking of batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates. * Ensure the above information is accurate, appropriately documented and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures. * Additional job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: * Must have knowledge of or in the process of learning about cannabis processing and extraction. * Must have understanding of functions relating to an extraction laboratory. * Familiar with industry terminology and scientific techniques of a commercial cannabis lab. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. * High level of integrity and a strong work ethic. * Strong interpersonal skills; team player. * Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment. * Must be 21+, with a valid State ID

An Extraction Lab Technician?
- A good question. Thank you for asking. What that means that you’ll be responsible for the preparation and execution of the extraction process on material delivered to the lab. Technicians will assist one another in the formulation and production of medical cannabis products while following policies and procedures outlined in SOP’s.

Our Extraction Lab Technician has a very special place in the Show-Me state. We’re looking for someone who has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Essential Functions
- Perform hydrocarbon extractions and all ancillary tasks

Position Title:
Cannabis Laboratory Extraction Lead Technician
Position Overview
This position supports the preparation and execution of the extraction process, and works with the Laboratory Director in development of new products.
The Lead Technician is responsible for assisting with production or development based on current business needs. The Lead Technician will strictly follow the company’s standard operating procedures and quality control measures to maintain production of high-quality products. The position is responsible for carrying out day-to-day tasks including assisting with extracting, refining, and packaging of cannabis products.
As needed the Lead Technician, under the guidance of the Laboratory Director, will work developing new formulations or processes for products. All tasks must complete assigned task in a timely and efficient manner. Attendance and punctuality are vital to the execution of these tasks.

Essential Responsibilities and duties
- Assist with extraction and packaging as needed, provide post extraction processing services on a daily basis including ethanol and filtration media to create a cleaner, more potent product.
- Track all raw crude used and document usage in internal tracking sheets.
- Track all finished thc oils/distillate and document usage in internal tracking sheets and Metrc.
- Provide cleaning and sanitization of the extraction laboratory and glassware.
- Understand and comply to procedures, methodologies, and compliance steps for tracking cannabis product in Metrc as directed.
- Ensure proper personal protective equipment before performing any production activities by using approved safety clothing and procedures.

Role Responsibilities: (Role includes but not limited to)
- Preparation of plant material for extraction.
- Operation of extraction & processing equipment to create various cannabis concentrates.
- Utilize existing operational procedures & SOPs to execute extraction & post-processing in accordance with state & local standards.
- Cleaning & sanitation of all equipment, work surfaces, & tools.
- Maintenance of extraction equipment &facilities.
- Ensure product consistency through quality control & testing.
- Maintain strict inventory records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

CannaAna is looking for a passionate and professional individual to fill the role of Solventless Extraction Lab Technician. We are looking for an individual who will be working with a variety of Laboratory/Manufacturing tasks. This individual must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
The Solventless Extraction Lab Technician will carry out laboratory manufacturing; intake raw material; enter and track material quantities; create batch records for a variety of processes, troubleshoot and resolve problems; maintain logs and record books; enter and maintain data tracking systems; maintain a clean and organized manufacturing lab.
Successful candidate will be able to work in a very fast-paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and able to operate both independently and within a team environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Execution of solventless extraction and processing
- Monitor laboratory systems while they are operating, keeping a careful eye on any possible hazards or sources of error/inefficiencies
- Ensure consistency and efficiency of product through quality control testing and procedures
- Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and manufacturing facility
- Maintaining strict inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals, and equipment used in the facility

Specific Duties:
