· Able to handle all aspects of complex transactions for clients of all sizes and across industries.

· Experience drafting transaction agreements and documents with efficiency and clarity, negotiating deal terms, managing transaction closings and processes, and providing thorough factual and legal research and analysis.

· Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate has the ability to work as part of a team while also having the confidence and demeanor to assume individual responsibility for matters involving direct client interaction. This attorney will serve as business advisor to clients, guiding them in a full range of legal matters throughout their life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases and closing documents
• Draft cannabis license applications and various documents pertaining to the multiple step process
• Perform due diligence on behalf of clients seeking to purchase membership or shareholder interests
• Manage assigned files from start to finish and provide oversight of paralegal work product
• Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
• Perform research and assist with projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from accredited law school
• Licensed in Michigan and in good standing with the Michigan Bar Association
• Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team are a must; strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
