Job Description
Sales Representatives are responsible for establishing new accounts and maintaining current accounts as well as generating revenue for a product or division. This is a high-paced industry and requires an assertive self-starter who can work independently and effectively. This position is ideal for someone experienced in marketing and advertising sales seeking to change industries.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for generating revenue through print and digital advertising. This process includes research and strategic planning, leading client meetings, preparing client presentations, submitting proposals, processing insertion orders, and managing client communication. Collaborate with ad agencies, PR firms, and marketing departments to brainstorm marketing strategy and develop appropriate program to meet client’s needs.
You will be expected to meet and exceed sales goals, make cold calls, prospect, and build upon and service existing advertisers in your assigned territories or categories. When calling prospects, you will need to identify the critical advertising placement decision makers and initiate and pursue productive, consultative relationships.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Passion for advertising sales
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills
- Experienced in preparing client presentations
- Computer savvy, able to learn and adapt to new platforms and systems
- Experienced with Salesforce
- Proficiency in G Suite
- Able to travel within the US to attend events, conferences, shows, and clients
- Able to represent the company at public speaking events as required
- Previous experience in B2B media sales preferred
- Industry knowledge is not a prerequisite however is always taken into consideration

- Minimum of three (3) years in media experience (print or digital) in sales related position
- A Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience

We have some leads generally through email and a lot of them unresponsive. You will need to generate leads (there are a ton in this industry) and use our resources or your own ideas to get in touch with them.
The right person for this job will be able to work without much structure. The way we’ve done things has been successful to a point. However, the person we need will already know how to do great sales and have their own strategy. You would also need to be detail oriented. Updating our leads is an important part of the process.
