The Cannabis Technician will assist in from the harvest of the plant to sale. The job can be described as fast-paced highly repetitive, with a great deal of manual labor while working in various temperatures from 60 to 80 degrees. The ideal candidate will have a positive “can-do” attitude and will respect team members, the plants, and the facility. They should have the ability to manage high stress, high urgency situations and be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it. Most importantly, attendance and punctuality are critical to the success of this role.

- Remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations.
- Ability to communicate through various formats including email and phone.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPOSURE:
- Exposure to fertilizer, dust, odors, extreme high heat, extreme low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally in English at a minimum of conversation level.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is highly desired.

Post-Harvest Technicians will be responsible for preparing and processing harvests for flower sales, pre-rolls, and packaging. Successful candidates will also be responsible for equipment sanitization and sterilization as well as maintaining facilities’ cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
Duties include the following:
- Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials
- Adhere to the departmental, site, and corporate safety policies.
- Assemble secondary packaging.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for harvesting, debucking, trimming, grinding, drying, and curing cannabis harvests in preparation for pre-rolls and/or flower sales
- Hand trimming.
- Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning in a cleanroom manufacturing environment to maintain required standards.
- Responsible for organizing work areas and performing daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment.
- Sanitization and sterilization of post-harvest processing equipment such as stainless-steel racks and shelving.
- Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to internal SOP and state regulations

The Cannabis Technician will assist in from the harvest of the plant to sale. The job can be described as fast-paced highly repetitive, with a great deal of manual labor while working in various temperatures from 60 to 80 degrees. The ideal candidate will have a positive “can-do” attitude and will respect team members, the plants, and the facility. They should have the ability to manage high stress, high urgency situations and be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it. Most importantly, attendance and punctuality are critical to the success of this role.

Duties:
-Complete Post-Harvest Duties including: harvesting, drying, bucking, trimming and manicuring of marijuana
-Assist in the weighing, packaging and labeling of all marijuana
-Upon request, assist the Cultivation department in defoliation
-Ensure marijuana waste is properly recorded and disposed of
-Ensure inventory is properly handled and maintained
-Follow all established SOPs and ensure compliance is met
-Follow all PPE signage and policies in place

JOB SUMMARY*
The Post-Harvest Trimmer will be responsible for completing tasks associated with the harvesting and finishing of cannabis plants, with a primary emphasis on trimming the final product.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *
- Hand trim product in accordance with Harvest standard operating procedures.
- Notify manager of quality control issues identified during the trimming process.
- Handle plants in accordance with standard operating procedures including GMP standards.

Position Summary/Objective
The Post-Harvest Technician is responsible for assisting the managers in the day-to-day functions of the packaging, trimming, and harvesting areas, as well as storing finished product. The Post-Harvest Technician is a detail-oriented, operational team player with strong communication skills.
Post-Harvest Technicians are an integral part of the post-harvest team. By reporting the conditions observed of both the environment and products, they help guide the overall success of every production cycle. No detail is too small, and a strong understanding of all the components needed to carry out each task is necessary for success. Additionally, minimizing miscommunications and taking seriously the concerns of other cultivation and post-harvest team members ensures a safe and responsible workplace. Specifically, the accuracy and care in trimming buds and weighing and packing eigths, as well as the handling of finished plants during harvest, and the proper disposal of waste are at the forefront of the technician’s priorities.
Technicians have the distinction of participating heavily in quality control over all trimmed and packaged product the facility furnishes for stores and vendors. There are many levels of quality control that multiple departments participate in, but the short time spent with the post-harvest team is crucial, considering its frequent handling and contact with multiple containers and surfaces. The Post-Harvest Technician’s role in maintaining a sanitary and organized inventory of product depends upon the detail and thoughtfulness s/he exhibits in this position; primarily, the ability to effectively compartmentalize strains, batches, and corresponding numeric values to reduce any confusion or mislabeling.
We are seeking a passionate, driven, detail-oriented and collaborative Post- Harvest Technician to support the company’s post-harvest activities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt to our business model and is a collaborative team player but also a self-starter. Previous cannabis cultivation experience is not required. Role reports to the Cultivation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Environmental checks & ongoing observation
- Harvesting
- Correctly utilizing appropriate checklists, logs, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures
- Cleaning & sanitizing
- Monitoring environment in cure areas
- Protecting finished product from waste or loss
- Trimming
- Sorting usable product and trim into distinct batches
- Packaging product and trim
- Correctly utilizing appropriate checklists, logs, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures
- Facilitating accurate inventory control at all steps
- Cleaning & sanitizing
- Keep work and break areas free of clutter and debris
- Ensure work uniforms are as clean as possible
- Communicate effectively with others in post-harvest and other departments
- Update any personal information which may be required for contact, payment, benefits, tax purposes, or similar contained in an employee’s personnel file
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education and Skills
· Minimum of one year cannabis growing/trimming/industry experience preferred
· Certification(s)/education in agricultural, horticultural, or botanical practices
· Previous experience with inventory software, Excel, and Google spreadsheets
· Education in agriculture, horticulture, or botany preferred but not necessary
Other Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Ability to work weekends/holidays
- Ability to perform activities for up to 8 hours a day
- Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible
- Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds for a distance of 100 feet
- Must pass stringent background test requirements of Pennsylvania
