- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Present and touch base in each account, physically with buyer, a minimum of once every 2 weeks.

Full Job Description
The purchaser for a dispensary is responsible for the procurement of all marijuana products distributed by the dispensary. The purchaser must have an extremely refined ability to evaluate the quality and value of marijuana bud and concentrates. The purchaser must be a sommelier of cannabis. Negotiation skills are also critical for this position. The purchaser will hold open hours for drop-in vendors to show their products 3 days per week. The purchaser will also schedule appointments for regular vendors to evaluate vintage products and receive standard products (edibles, lotions, vape products, etc.). Specific duties include:
-Meet with new vendors to evaluate their products (bud, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, vapes, etc.)
-Place recurring orders with regular vendors
-Negotiate pricing on vintage products (bud and concentrates)
-Receive orders from vendors
-Perform regular physical counts of inventory with other managers
-Maintain inventory levels of all products. All products should be in-stock at all times, but not over-stocked, causing spoilage.

Position Summary
The NorCal Sales Rep is responsible for growing strong relationships with current accounts and building / capturing new business. The position involves visiting CA state licensed retailers in the NorCal region & introducing them to Airfield brands. The position is expected to possess excellent communication skills & convey the differentiating factors of our cultivation practices & strains. The NorCal Sales Rep should have a thorough understanding of various cannabis form factors, the cannabis industry & knowledge of market trends. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a startup environment, passionate about the cannabis industry, and will bring a positive, energetic, and creative approach to the role. Detail oriented, organized & multi-tasking skills a plus to uphold standards set forth by Airfield brands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain & update comprehensive list of BCC retail licenses (prospects) in CA
- Cold call & pitch wholesale brand to accounts on BCC retail list - 10 / 15 calls per day
- Schedule pitch meetings / sample deliveries with prospect accounts
- Ability to be in the field / on the road 3 days per week at minimum, meeting with accounts / potential retailers / maintaining & growing current account relationships
- Manage & update CRM for visibility to leadership & collaborative teams
- Monthly Expectations to open minimum 3 new retailers every month
- Verify discount / promotional opportunities with internal teams before committing to retail accounts.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of product catalog & current market trends
- Strong customer service & creative thinking skills to troubleshoot & solve problems that arise throughout the lifecycle of an order (ie. certain skus not available / oversold high demand skus / provide options / assisting with delivery issues)
- Adhere to budgets set forth by finance / senior management for mileage allowance, supplies, travel expenses, etc...
- Drive awareness of brand in designated NorCal region by coordinating marketing initiatives with retailers to build / grow business, educating BTs about brand/s, etc…
- Schedule & execute demos / promos at retail accounts
- Account Management functions - communicating inventory, coordinate launch takeovers, grow brand / retailer relationship & increase revenue in existing accounts, establishing goals with accounts, meeting / exceeding sales quotas & following through with account requests
- Assist retail accounts with accounting needs & internal team with AR collections
- Work in synergy with peers / other departments to reach collective wholesale goals set forth by the leadership team (annual revenue targets, quarterly targets, etc.)
- Ability to engage with strangers / difficult personalities with friendliness & impartialness, upholding the customer service standards of the brand.

Airfield Managers must possess a firm grasp on all aspects of the cannabis industry and be able to use that knowledge base to drive key initiatives for the organization. NorCal Sales Rep expected to utilize excellent communication skills to keep account relationships strong and their experienced industry knowledge to hunt for competitive partnerships with well established retailers.
Time Management & Prioritization
Sales reps display excellent time management skills and must be very strategic in how they allocate their time daily. Prioritization around the most important and immediate needs of the business should be the primary driver for planning and executing meetings, must be able to effectively communicate account requests with consideration to the time resources of other departments.
Exemplary Customer Service & Communication skills
NorCal Sales Reps are directly responsible for finding out, reporting on, identifying & executing solutions to customer service issues. Discretion should be used when escalating customer issues to senior management, resolution & customer retention being the primary goal. When communicating with customers & internal Airfield staff, representatives will use their skills to help motivate teammates and keep morale high. Sales Reps understand the importance of making ethical decisions when establishing interpersonal relationships with customers & peers.
Punctuality & Determination
Sales Reps are expected to lead by example regarding attendance and punctuality. Set the tone for productive business days by showing up, getting out in the field with a positive attitude and infectious energy that customers can feed off of each day.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- BA/BS in business, marketing, or business administration and/or 3+ years experience in cannabis sales.
- Extensive cannabis industry product knowledge preferred
- Google Docs / Sheets / Slides & Microsoft Excel proficient
- Experience in cannabis sales, contract negotiation & brand development preferred
- Keen interest in market dynamics & ability to distill Treez / BDS / headset data preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license, reliable vehicle, insurance, and clean driving record
- Must pass background check
