Manufacturing Technician of Extractions takes part in key operations within the lab facilities, assists in closed loop extractions, and is trained to be knowledgeable about an extensive array of lab equipment/practices.

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Preparation of samples for analysis
- Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
- Sample extractions
- Determining the volume of samples
- Cleaning of laboratory glassware
- Maintaining clean laboratory areas
- Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis

- Recording and monitoring process conditions to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures

Qualifications
One to Three years of applicable medical cannabis or related extraction, formulating, and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality- Experience with closed loop Butane and CO2 extraction systems preferred, including large scale production sugar/ wax, live sugar/resin/wax, and shatter
- Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies
- Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies
- Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies
Education
- High school diploma/GED required

Working conditions
Work is performed in several locations that include a cannabis cultivation and production facility. The working area may be odorous at times and loud due to fans and filtration systems, fluctuating between cold and warm temperatures. It involves frequent contact with staff. Work may include dealing with law enforcement and occasional State inspectors. May be asked to occasionally travel to locations outside of AYR’s network.
Physical requirements
Grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions- Standing, bending, and lifting to 50 pounds by themselves and 75+ pounds with a buddy, carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving, and adjusting processing equipment
- Atmospheric Exposures: exposed to dust, fumes, vapors, or mists that could affect the occupational health of the employee
- Toxic Chemicals: may be exposed to some toxic or caustic chemicals
- May include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching

DESCRIPTION
The Extractions Technician is responsible for producing high-quality, concentrates. Working in a team-oriented environment, the Extractions Technician will be responsible for following standard operating procedures to accurately track and produce concentrates from start to finish.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the extractions production/workflow of batches of marijuana concentrates.
- Ensures daily production schedule and goals set by Extractions Manager are met.
- Maintains high level of cleanliness of all workspaces, extractions equipment and sanitation practices concerning handling of product and materials according to company procedures; reports any potential issues to the Manager immediately.
- Ensures preparation of sample products for testing is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of all batch production records, regular preventative equipment maintenance, audits and supply orders.
- Adheres to OSHA guidelines for handling and using different solvents and pieces of commercial equipment.
- Assists in fostering a positive work environment, treating everyone with dignity and respect while perpetuating a curiosity for “everything cannabis”
QUALIFICATIONS
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to produce a high-quality product.
- Must possess basic knowledge of different cannabis extraction methodologies
