About Mother Earth Wellness
Mother Earth Wellness is a vertically integrated cannabis cultivator, processor and dispensary operator located in Rhode Island. We are currently constructing a state-of-the-art facility to service the existing medical cannabis client base. Recreational cannabis will be legalized in Rhode Island December 1, 2022, bringing the addressable market to over 1 million consumers in a 50-mile radius.
Mother Earth Wellness brings extensive customer service knowledge, restaurant ownership, design capabilities, construction experience to the market, and our Pawtucket, Rhode Island location, currently under construction, is slated to open this year in October. We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Marketing Director to join our team during this exciting time in our journey. We are willing to relocate the right individual from anywhere in the USA and offer a benefits’ and a competitive salary.
Role Responsibilities
The role of Marketing Director is to work collaboratively with Mother Earth’s ownership team, and other management team members including but not limited to Dispensary operations manager, Assistant manager, Inventory manager and other related staff as needed for the expressed purpose of creating new customer acquisition and customer retention strategies.
The Marketing Director will be evaluated based on specific and measurable goals and objectives related to the growth of new customers and the retention of existing customers related to digital consumer marketing outcomes.
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and maintaining a healthy and collaborative working relationship with each manager to achieve the goals and objectives of the position. One key success element for the position of Marketing Director will depend on the individual's ability to effectively build and grow a sense of collaborative engagement, activation, and execution among the management team to effectively create, develop, plan, and execute the company’s consumer marketing strategies.
Collaboration will include advance planning for website updates, product launches, consumer promotions, customer acquisition strategies, customer retention strategies, data collection, analysis and reporting related to marketing, 3rd party software integration needed for successful execution of marketing elements, and the general support of each manager as it relates to their individual roles.
The Marketing Director will be held to high standards of performance, complete and timely execution of strategic marketing plan, marketing campaigns, meet assigned deadlines, meet and or exceed measurable objectives.
Job Duties
The Marketing Director will represent the brand in a consistent and professional manner and be held to high standards with respect to working with colleagues, partners, 3rd party vendors and other outside contractors.
The position of Marketing Director is required to be a thought leader through continuing education related to the role of marketing. A deep grasp of marketing strategies, tactics, market research, consumer research, media placement, trends and best practices in creative and visual presentation of the brand and other areas related to the successful execution of the strategic marketing plan.
Essential Functions
Specifically, The Marketing Director is responsible for executing the following;
1. Website management
- Maintain company website that was developed by Range Marketing
- Develop and execute website strategies to grow new customer acquisition
- Develop and execute website strategies to retain existing customers
- Stay current with web site updates related to company information, product information and other related digital content
2. SEO and SEM optimization
- Create, develop and execute effective and efficient SEO and SEM strategies
- Update as needed to grow site traffic from potential customers and existing customers
3. Track and report all Website metrics
- Prepare and present website analytics weekly to include unique users, consumer sessions, origin of traffic and other traditional metrics
- Track all website metrics on a google sheet and provide weekly updates related to the metrics
- Provide access to all management for review
4. Social Media Management
- Create, develop and execute marketing strategies that grow the engagement of users
- Create, develop and execute marketing strategies that grow the number of unique followers and users
- Maintain Twitter account and engagement
- Post a minimum of 1X per day on IG
- Post a minimum of 1X per week on Facebook
- Work with the existing RI cultivator base on their new and upcoming products
- Work with local social influencers to build the mother Earth wellness brand in the new recreational market
- Prepare and present social media analytics to include unique followers, reshapes, reports and other traditional metrics
5. 3rd Party Digital Marketing Management
- Create, develop and execute advertising campaigns, ad placement, measurement and reporting of metrics for the following platforms: Leafly, Dutchie, Weedmaps, IheartJane, PotGuide.
6. 3rd Party Software Integration with marketing related platforms in use at retail
- Working with retail managers to support images, product descriptions, promotions, and other consumer facing communication
- Create, develop and execute marketing elements where applicable within each software platform
- Create, develop and execute consumer loyalty program via SpringBig
- Maximize the effectiveness of Dutchie on-line ordering platform
- Work within our menu board integration to keep it updated as needed
7. Support CRO with respect to the following
- 3rd party design of marketing, collateral, packaging and other materials
- Vendor promotional program integration with Diem Strategic Marketing Plan
- Other marketing support as needed
Essential Skills and Strengths

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cannabis industry
- A strong background in photography and graphic design
- Action-oriented and solution driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in retail and customer service experience highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent in professional and life experience.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be at least 21 years old.

Job Description:
The admissions team is responsible for ensuring safe and compliant entry for all patients and visitors to Mother Earth Wellness. Candidates must have an outgoing demeanor as they will be the first point of contact for customers entering the store, as well as a visible presence in the community. Candidates will need to be able to work independently and communicate effectively. This position will be responsible for following all protocols and procedures relative to the protection of property and personnel, as outlined in Rhode Island regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of guest intake and ID verification procedures and protocols
- Demonstrated ability to interact with the public to facilitate problem-solving of stressful situations with calm and open judgment
- Knowledge of safety, health and security protocols
- Ability to identify potential problems, analyzes issues, and propose solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the compassion center's guests

Manufacturing Technician of Extractions takes part in key operations within the lab facilities, assists in closed loop extractions, and is trained to be knowledgeable about an extensive array of lab equipment/practices.
Take part in approach to daily tasks, push team productivity, meet production goals, and work to increase comradery and improve workflow.

· Maintain appropriate compliance of C1D1, C1D2 areas within lab facilities

· Learn techniques on short path distillation set-up, LS | G3
· Operate and maintain freezers, vacuum pumps, ovens, solvent recovery, etc.
· Work with mixing, mulching, prepping, or destroying of plant materials on a daily basis
· Maintain appropriate use and storage of chemicals, powders, and solvents within the lab facilities
Legal & Industry Knowledge
· Work directly with the Operations manager to oversee all team members who are trained on all safety, security and compliance policies.
· Proactively follow current industry trends and news, technology and analyze key competitors in the market.
· Maintain all aspects of facility operation in strict compliance with the Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and
requirements, Regular review of company policy information and state law.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and industry events; review medical and recreational cannabis publications; establishing personal networks within the industry.

Job Duties
The Fulfillment Associates will be responsible for preparing all customer order types including online, express, and in-store. In addition, Fulfillment Associate will be responsible for replenishing the day vault, cycle counts, and making sure that all products are moved compliantly. Fulfillment Associate will also assist with packaging as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promptly prepare online and in-store orders, accurately and compliantly.
- Keep accurate count of products available and restocked at all times. Communicate with inventory to replenish the day vault as needed.
- Must have regular and on-time attendance.
- Assist with packaging including flower, prerolls, edible, concentrate, vapes, etc.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment within fulfilment and packaging areas.

Job Duties
The Sales Associates are responsible for assisting customers with their transactional needs. - This is a specialized position for custom Joint / Preroll rolling. Must be good with hands and have a high attention to detail. Standard performance is 25 Prerolls per hour depending on joint style.

Full Job Description
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory movements and controls while adhering to all company, state, and federal laws and policies. They must possess excellent math, organizational, and time management skills as well as work well in a team setting. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with the Inventory Manager to maintain accurate, organized, and quality inventory processes at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain organization of back stock and active product
- Coordinate the rotation of inventory after each delivery to ensure that the oldest product is always sold first
- Restock products front vault to sales floor as needed
- Perform daily physical inventory counts of all active products
- Reconcile any discrepancies as needed and identify causes
- Communicate after reconciliations and report any discrepancies
- Ensure all products received in the store are compliant with the company, state, and federal laws
- Audit store transactions to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal laws
- Stay up to date on Marijuana packaging laws to ensure all third-party products are always compliant
- Receive all in-house and third-party products and enter into our applicable system according to all required policies and regulations
- Maintain expired/damaged product log and send waste product back to the grow as necessary
- Create manifests in accordance with state and federal law for the transfer of any product out of the store
- Keep documents such as manifests and invoices maintained and organized
- Barcode each SKU accordingly after an order is received and entered into the system
- Identify opportunities, propose solutions, and execute game plans to improve efficiency

· Operate and maintain freezers, vacuum pumps, ovens, solvent recovery, etc.
· Work with mixing, mulching, prepping, or destroying of plant materials on a daily basis
· Maintain appropriate use and storage of chemicals, powders, and solvents within the lab facilities
Legal & Industry Knowledge
· Work directly with the Operations manager to oversee all team members who are trained on all safety, security and compliance policies.
· Proactively follow current industry trends and news, technology and analyze key competitors in the market.
· Maintain all aspects of facility operation in strict compliance with the Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and
requirements, Regular review of company policy information and state law.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and industry events; review medical and recreational cannabis publications; establishing personal networks within the industry.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent technical field

Role Responsibilities
The role of Marketing Manager is to work collaboratively with Mother Earth’s ownership team, and other management team members including but not limited to Dispensary operations manager, Assistant manager, Inventory manager and other related staff as needed for the expressed purpose of creating new customer acquisition and customer retention strategies.
The Marketing Manager will be evaluated based on specific and measurable goals and objectives related to the growth of new customers and the retention of existing customers related to digital consumer marketing outcomes.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a healthy and collaborative working relationship with each manager to achieve the goals and objectives of the position. One key success element for the position of Marketing Manager will depend on the individual's ability to effectively build and grow a sense of collaborative engagement, activation, and execution among the management team to effectively create, develop, plan, and execute the company’s consumer marketing strategies.
Collaboration will include advance planning for website updates, product launches, consumer promotions, customer acquisition strategies, customer retention strategies, data collection, analysis and reporting related to marketing, 3rd party software integration needed for successful execution of marketing elements, and the general support of each manager as it relates to their individual roles.
The Marketing Manager will be held to high standards of performance, complete and timely execution of strategic marketing plan, marketing campaigns, meet assigned deadlines, meet and or exceed measurable objectives.
Job Duties
The Marketing Manager will represent the brand in a consistent and professional manner and be held to high standards with respect to working with colleagues, partners, 3rd party vendors and other outside contractors.
The position of Marketing Manager is required to be a thought leader through continuing education related to the role of marketing. A deep grasp of marketing strategies, tactics, market research, consumer research, media placement, trends and best practices in creative and visual presentation of the brand and other areas related to the successful execution of the strategic marketing plan.
Essential Functions
Specifically, The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the following;
1. Website management
- Maintain company website that was developed by Range Marketing
- Develop and execute website strategies to grow new customer acquisition
- Develop and execute website strategies to retain existing customers
- Stay current with web site updates related to company information, product information and other related digital content
2. SEO and SEM optimization
- Create, develop and execute effective and efficient SEO and SEM strategies
- Update as needed to grow site traffic from potential customers and existing customers
3. Track and report all Website metrics
- Prepare and present website analytics weekly to include unique users, consumer sessions, origin of traffic and other traditional metrics
- Track all website metrics on a google sheet and provide weekly updates related to the metrics
- Provide access to all management for review
4. Social Media Management
- Create, develop and execute marketing strategies that grow the engagement of users
- Create, develop and execute marketing strategies that grow the number of unique followers and users
- Maintain Twitter account and engagement
- Post a minimum of 1X per day on IG
- Post a minimum of 1X per week on Facebook
- Work with the existing RI cultivator base on their new and upcoming products
- Work with local social influencers to build the mother Earth wellness brand in the new recreational market
- Prepare and present social media analytics to include unique followers, reshapes, reports and other traditional metrics
5. 3rd Party Digital Marketing Management
- Create, develop and execute advertising campaigns, ad placement, measurement and reporting of metrics for the following platforms: Leafly, Dutchie, Weedmaps, IheartJane, PotGuide.
6. 3rd Party Software Integration with marketing related platforms in use at retail
- Working with retail managers to support images, product descriptions, promotions, and other consumer facing communication
- Create, develop and execute marketing elements where applicable within each software platform
- Create, develop and execute consumer loyalty program via SpringBig
- Maximize the effectiveness of Dutchie on-line ordering platform
- Work within our menu board integration to keep it updated as needed
7. Support CRO with respect to the following
- 3rd party design of marketing, collateral, packaging and other materials
- Vendor promotional program integration with Diem Strategic Marketing Plan
- Other marketing support as needed

Role Summary: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for enabling positive organizational business results through effective implementation of human resources personnel systems and managing personnel systems through the creation and review of job description development, hiring oversight, employee onboarding and orientation, payroll, employee termination processes, and communicating with payroll systems. This person will also serve as the health benefits liaison, employee record keeper, employee relations facilitator, and be responsible for employee safety and other required training, The Human Resources compliance will processes and monitor most functions of employee data management by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts onboarding and workplace conduct orientation of new employees.
- Articulates policies and guidelines for the organization outlined in the Mother Earth Wellness Handbook.

- Provides supervision and personnel compliance training for all managers.
- Provides safety training with the assistance of the Compliance Manager for all MEW employees.
- Maintains availability for employee questions, complaints, communication and working with appropriate personnel to resolve employee issues.
- Maintains familiarity with and keeps up to date regarding employment law, Rhode Island Labor law, company policy, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of all incidents related to the employee work experience.
- Provides an effective proactive plan to improve the labor environment in the workplace.
- Follows the RI DBR guidelines as it relates to the employee work environment.
- Establishes Mother Earth Wellness’ company procedures as outlined in the company Handbook in regards to procedures for skill development activities including hiring-firing and on-going processes relating to employee work behavior.
- Maintains involvement in the conversations about wage adjustments and personnel action that needs to be taken.

Job Duties
Mother Earth Wellness is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to document and facilitate the internal regulatory processes for Mother Earth’s cultivation, product manufacturing and dispensary license, including 3rd party contracts with other cultivators and processors in Rhode Island.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance:
- Communicate regulatory compliance requirements, changes in regulatory requirements, and/or clarification and follow-up of submissions under review. Enforcement of SOPs for Rhode Island DBR Compliance.
- Escort state inspectors during inspections and provide post-inspection follow-up information as requested. This includes the local and state police/fire departments as needed
- Analyze regulatory deficiencies or complaints and make recommendations regarding their correction. This includes working closely, day-to-day with our Director of cultivation, Lab director, Kitchen manager, Packaging manager and Inventory Manager.
- Assist Management with investigation of cash and inventory discrepancies.
- Interpret regulatory rules or rule changes and ensure that they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures, including communication with Executives and Management.
- Assist with review of product promotional materials, labeling, batch records, specification sheets, or test methods for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Compile and maintain regulatory documentation databases or systems.
- Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations and obtain and distribute updated information regarding regulations, laws, guidelines, or standards.
- Prepare or assist with the preparation of additional information or responses as requested by regulatory agencies.
- Recommend changes to company procedures in response to changes in regulations or standards.
- Update standard operating procedures, work instructions, or policies.
- Become an expert in Rhode Island medical and recreational cannabis compliance
- Maintain and update all employee badges, certification requirements and OSHA practices
- Maintain and update Mother Earth’s compassion center application and the City of Pawtucket’s zoning application and filing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in a regulatory compliance position or experience in the cannabis industry is required.

Mother Earth Wellness is a vertically integrated cannabis cultivator, processor and dispensary operator located in Rhode Island. We are currently constructing a state-of-the-art facility to service the existing medical cannabis client base. Recreational cannabis will be legalized in Rhode Island December 1, 2022, bringing the addressable market to over 1 million consumers in a 50-mile radius.
Mother Earth Wellness brings extensive customer service knowledge, restaurant ownership, design capabilities, construction experience to the market, and our Pawtucket, Rhode Island location, currently under construction, is slated to open this year in October. We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Controller to join our team during this exciting time in our journey. Position Summary: The controller is responsible for high level accounting, costing, and reporting functions to ensure the financial objectives of Mother Earth Wellness are met in a timely and accurate manner. The controller also manages and supervises all aspects of all accounting and reports to the CEO of the company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Effectively manages all accounting functions and internal controls related to cash management, financial statement preparation, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, costing, revenue recognition, and net revenue analysis
- Prepares monthly financial statements/financial packet for the CEO in a timely
- Provides financial analysis and ad-hoc reports to aide in decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, and other matters when necessary
- Ensures all accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports are prepared timely, accurately, and in conformance with GAAP standards.
- Monitors cash flow and develops cash flow projections for short term and long-term goal
- Works closely with department heads in the collection of financial data for inventory tracking and product costing analysis
- Continually monitors future legislation that may impact taxation and reporting requirements in the cannabis industry
- Interfaces with outside audit firms, accounting firms, banks, agents, and others to ensure positive relationships are formed on behalf of the company.
- Effectively communicates with staff, demonstrating sound judgment and effective problem- solving skills
Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent verbal & written communication/presentation skills. Ability to confidently and effectively communicate with all levels within the Company.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance and its application to accounting practices and procedures
- Effective management and supervisory skills
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Corporate Controller or similar senior level position (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience and extensive working knowledge of Quickbooks (required)
- Must be highly proficient in Excel and be proficient in data manipulation/sorting/pivot tables, etc (required)
- Experience working in the Cannabis industry preferred

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess and support inventory strategies.
- Manages cycle count programs to maintain inventory balance.
- Provides daily inventory count audit reports to the Dispensary and weekly inventory audit reports to our leadership team. Provides end of month and end of year inventory audits.
- Analyzes and monitors inventory adjustments and chain of custody of cannabis within our location.
- Effectively queries inventory and all order-related transaction history.
- Source suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
- Ensures proper classification and storage of inventory.
- Remain current with industry best practices, trends, and technologies.
- Improve the business processes for all key aspects of operations through analysis and collaboration with internal team members and vendor partners.
- Oversee inventory budgets and fulfillment.
- Interface with Licensing and Compliance Representative as needed to support compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety, rules, and regulations.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Point of Sale and state required reporting system METRC to monitor inventory movement and support the company’s inventory management.
- Develop and report Key Performance Indicators including forecast accuracy, inventory levels, inventory reserve, months of supply and consumer delivery performance.
- Maintain records and check accuracy of inventory cycle counts and investigate and resolve any discrepancies, informing management of findings.
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Use discretion with sensitive and confidential security and business information.
- Must become an expert in Mother Earth’s POS system and be able to train new employee’s when needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory/supply chain management.
- Experience managing retail inventory highly desirable.
- Experience working in the cannabis industry highly desirable.
- Experience with METRC highly desirable.
- Experience with Cannabis-Industry POS and Inventory Management system highly desirable.
- Experience working in services or pharmaceutical experience highly desirable.
- Action-oriented and solution driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in retail and customer service experience highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in professional and life experience.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.
