The Edibles and Kitchen Associate is responsible for assisting with the production of various cannabis infused products which include but are not limited to inventory management, adherence to compliance and safety requirements, and production of cannabis infused products. We are looking for highly-skilled, talented, creative and innovative workers, preferably with experience in a similar capacity. The selected candidates must be able to fulfill production and market demands while complying with current industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for manufacturing large-scale batches of high-quality edible products and other confectionary products that are infused with cannabis.
- Tasked with supporting and assisting the Kitchen Supervisor(s) and Manager in all aspects of cannabis production and preparation within the department.
- Priorities include proper preparation and execution of recipes, product packaging, and maintaining all kitchen supplies and equipment cleaned and sanitized.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be age 21 or over - California residency with valid ID is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred, particularly in the production of chocolates, gummies and/or candies.
- Previous food assembly line, production experience preferred.
- 1-2 years relevant experience.
- Must have a positive attitude, be a great team player and be open to constructive criticism.
- Must be trustworthy, dependable and accountable for own actions.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to time manage, multitask and organize.
- Must be able to provide minor maintenance and adjustments to production equipment (basic trouble-shooting skills).
- Must be able to stand for long periods, leaning over and lifting bins, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Bi-Lingual (English / Gujarati or Hindi is a plus).

Position Summary
Performs and supports the production and packaging operations of a cultivation and manufacturing facility. Conducts day-to-day operations within the facility including the production, depositing, forming, labeling, and packaging of edibles. Maintains excellent personal hygiene, workspace cleanliness, and quality control measures to ensure a high-quality product in accordance with the Florida Department of Health Services . Complies with regulations and standards set by the Company policies.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/TASK
- Occasional machine operation and adjustment, dependent upon product.
- Ensure that production is performed by following standard operating procedures.
- Measure ingredients and products accurately so that optimal levels of production are met.
- Weigh and store finished products ensuring that all pertinent information is recorded in logs.
- Arrange and maintain work area and equipment to assist in efficiency, safety and reduction of waste.
- Properly package products. Place appropriate product within packaging machine, box, or onto pallet.
- Verify integrity of package to ensure elimination of leakers and product appearance is correct.
- Assemble, weigh, tape, label, code date, scan, and palletize boxes where necessary.
- Receive food items and ensure appropriate storage.
- Make sure that all food items are stored and rotated properly using first in first out (FIFO) methods.
- Always work in a safe manner for your own and other associate’s safety.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures and department protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- One year of experience in a general production facility or kitchen.
- Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform production duties.
- Excellent math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to manage time and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls.
