Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all required duties in the Cultivation Department, including the following areas of production: inventory management, plant breeding, cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, cropping, topping, flushing, bucking down, sorting, cleaning and preventative sprays
- Maintain accurate daily activity records and operation logs
- Follow GrowHealthy policies and procedures
- Insect detection, identification techniques, and general crop scouting
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of all equipment present within the grow area
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and co-workers
- Maintain a clean, SAFE and organized work environment
- Must adhere to scheduled work hours (punctuality and attendance) Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use.

Physical Requirements

- Maintain accurate daily activity records and operation logs
- Follow GrowHealthy policies and procedures
- Insect detection, identification techniques, and general crop scouting
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of all equipment present within the grow area
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and co-workers
- Maintain a clean, SAFE and organized work environment
- Must adhere to scheduled work hours (punctuality and attendance) Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use.

Physical Requirements

- Knowledge of container systems with soil and hydro, as well as an understanding of temperature and humidity manipulation, a plus
- Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as organic plant treatment options, a plus
- Ability to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a large-scale grow facility
- Experience in marijuana cultivation preferred, but not required

Position Overview: Cultivation Technician is responsible for plant care in all stages of life-cycle cannabis growth to include germination, vegetative, flowering and harvest. The Technician journals, monitors and tracks all observations in the company’s software tracking system in compliance with our client's processes and state regulations.
Pay: $19.00 / hour + Full Time with Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k) + PTO + Discounts
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
- Clone, plant, water, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and using hand tools and gardening tools.
- Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them.
- Record information about plants and plant growth.
- Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease.
- Fill growing tanks with water.
- Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Identify pests, diseases or infestations and manage the outbreak.
- Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Check and water all plants in cultivation facility as outlined in the Daily Room-Checklist.
- Transplanting plants into larger containers as needed.
- Trimming plants in the vegetative stage and creating clones
- Washing pots/trays/lights, etc. returning them to the appropriate Clean Room
- Harvesting and Trimming flowering plants.
- Staking weak plants.
- Examining plants for signs of pests or disease
- Possible overtime requirements based on business needs
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
- Working knowledge of medical cannabis and cannabis-infused product production from seed to sell. Alternatively, a background in horticulture and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledgeable on regulations related to the Medical Use of Marijuana Program.
- Experience with inventory control methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills including listening, negotiation, and conflict management,
- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and experience working with senior level executives.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships in order to gain support and achieve results both internally and externally.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Experience and Education:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in horticulture, plant science, manufacturing or business administration OR three to five years of experience in a related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.
- Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations, and analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all required duties in the Cultivation Department, including the following areas of production: inventory management, plant breeding, cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, cropping, topping, flushing, bucking down, sorting, cleaning and preventative sprays
- Maintain accurate daily activity records and operation logs
- Follow GrowHealthy policies and procedures
- Insect detection, identification techniques, and general crop scouting
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of all equipment present within the grow area
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and co-workers
- Maintain a clean, SAFE and organized work environment
- Must adhere to scheduled work hours (punctuality and attendance) Must stay current and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks on a daily basis: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, squatting, performing repetitive motions, climbing and carrying boxes
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to stand on concrete floor for up to 8 to 10 hours a day
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Level 2 Background Screening
- Must be able to work in a cultivation environment with varying temperatures, humidity, exposure to plant life and moderate to loud noise levels
- Skills / Knowledge
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Degree in Biology, Horticulture, or Applied Science preferred
- Excellent computer, mathematic, language, and reasoning skills
- Knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis a plus
- Knowledge of container systems with soil and hydro, as well as an understanding of temperature and humidity manipulation, a plus
- Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as organic plant treatment options, a plus
- Ability to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a large-scale grow facility
- Experience in marijuana cultivation preferred, but not required

- Clone, plant, water, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and using hand tools and gardening tools.
- Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them.
- Record information about plants and plant growth.
- Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease.
- Fill growing tanks with water.
- Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Identify pests, diseases or infestations and manage the outbreak.
- Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Check and water all plants in cultivation facility as outlined in the Daily Room-Checklist.
- Transplanting plants into larger containers as needed.
- Trimming plants in the vegetative stage and creating clones

Cultivation Technician Job Description
Overview-
Provides manual labor to support the activities and operations of the Cultivation Department, while abiding by policies, procedures and operational guidelines.
Essential Functions-
Assist with the coordination of all grow operations including: Daily Activities, Quality Assurance, Potting, Manicuring, Harvesting, and Trimming as well as assuring compliance with local, state, and federal licensing requirements.
Responsible for executing assigned tasks, projects and expectations in accordance with Freedom Road Garden’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift, as well as information sharing: Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers and report employee issues or product situations.
Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
Responsible for performing detailed manicuring of plant materials, running the trim machine, sorting trim, weighing and recording all plant material and waste accurately.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications-
Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of Freedom Road Garden and its clients.
Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
Basic math skills and ability to properly operate a scale.
Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives.
Ability to work well in a Team Oriented Environment.
Work Environment-
This job operates in a greenhouse environment. Conditions are often humid, hot, and bright. Standard gardening equipment is often used in this job.
Physical Demands-
This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual activity. Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Expected Hours of Work-
Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs. Evening and weekend work may be required.
Additional Requirements-
Colorado driver’s license or State ID card
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must pass any and all required background checks
Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Must obtain and retain a state-issued MED badge
