Position Summary
We are seeking an entrepreneurial capital raising / investment sales professional to join our team to take our fundraising capabilities and AUM to the next level. Now we are looking for someone to take ownership of day-to-day investment sales and distribution, be it internal growth financing, an upcoming fund, SMA’s, co-investments, and other potential SPV's. The VP reports to a firm Partner on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate is a positive and energetic self-starter with proven fundraising capabilities within the private equity, venture capital, investment banking, advisory, placement agent, and cap intro community. The VP will be responsible and accountable for energetic proactive day-to-day investor outreach, follow up, and capital on-boarding. This is a hunter role and you are tasked with identifying, cultivating, and on-boarding new investors beyond the firm’s existing network of investors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Raise new capital from diverse set of HNW, SFO, VC/PE/HF/FoF investors and other sources of capital
- Manage all investment sales activities including ongoing proactive daily interaction with prospective and existing investors, fundraising, and client communications
- Create and manage measured sales and marketing plans including weekly / monthly cold calling, meeting, and other targets with full reporting to the appropriate Partner
- Engage in a well-organized sales process from lead generation, product presentation to capital on-boarding
- Seek joint ventures and other agreements for the marketing and distribution of our investment products or services to wealth management firms and family offices.
- Update and meticulously maintain the firm's investor client and prospect pipeline (in Salesforce)
- Prepare Partner meeting participants on investors to ensure productive and successful meetings

Qualifications & Requirements
- Candidate must have strong Financial Background with 3 to 5 years of prior training and work experience from: Investment Banking, Placement Agent, Emerging Manager Distribution, or Capital Introduction
- You have raised significant new capital for alternatives, and great associated references
- Your rolodex include extensive current network of private capital sources including family office, QIBs, HNW, RIA, that you can immediately get to work on for live opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create strong visual presentations of information
- Must have strong attention to detail with absolute commitment to qualitative and quantitative accuracy
- Ideal candidate has both (a) an established capital raising track record and tenure at prior firm, (b) is excited about the potential risk/reward of the cannabis sector, and (c) is very interested in an entrepreneurial role with upside potential

Job Summary:
BDS Analytics is looking for a Vice President of Business Development to join the sales organization focused on the Consumer Packaged Goods industry (to include food, beverage, alcohol, tobacco, OTC, beauty, wellness industries). As part of the team, you will be surrounded by empowered and driven sales leaders. You will be joining an organization that brings to market the most robust cannabinoid (cannabis) data and insights. You will be responsible for selling and supporting key partner companies in selling our suite of global cannabinoid data, technology and analytics solutions directly to the CPG industry.
We are looking for a dynamic seller and relationship builder who is client focused with a strong background in team management, sales training, and independent sales performance. We are looking for a leader who can individually prospect, pitch and close sales and also train, educate, and support key BDS Analytics' partner organizations. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building strong relationships, training and mentoring a sales organization, creating and growing a pipeline, closing sales, advising on product opportunities to generate further revenue, and understanding and assessing client business needs.
Essentials Functions and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain solid relationship with clients and partner organizations, proactively addressing needs and opportunities
- Demonstrate a record of building a pipeline, converting leads to sales, and exceeding revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities through your established network, analysis of the market, and existing knowledge of the landscape
- Use a consultative sales process to bring visibility to BDS Analytics' capabilities in a relevant manner to the client or partner organization
- Understand and assess a clients' objectives, pain points, and opportunities in order to determine the appropriate BDS Analytics' solution
- Operate comfortably across different client disciplines from Sales, Marketing, R&D, Insights, Analytics, Finance, Corporate Strategy, M&A, Legal etc.
- Engage and build strong relationships at the C-level
- Be interested, curious, and an expert on the ever-evolving global cannabinoid market
- Partner with the BDS Analytics' marketing team to gather, develop and polish the assets needed to build credibility, a pipeline, and convert leads
- Partner with the BDS Analytics' and partner organization product team to advise products necessary to "win" clients
Job-related Education, Experience and/or Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of successful experience in revenue-focused Business Development or Sales role within the CPG, data solutions, or marketing services industry
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the CPG industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of and/or experience selling CPG Organizations (preferred)
- Ability to interface directly with clients and partner companies
- Powerful presentation skills – in person, web demos, over the phone – with presence and purpose
