Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develops, implements, and manages overall company safety and security programs and policies.
- Ensures the safety of employees, subcontractors, and all visitors on our premises.
- Identifies, conducts and manages OSHA compliance and all required safety and security training and recordkeeping for all employees.

- Creates and manages a log-in for incoming and outgoing guests.
- Provides preliminary on-site emergency medical support and hospital transportation in the event of on-site injuries; ensuring all managers, HR, and proper authorities are informed.

POSITION SUMMARY
Maggie’s Farm Manager of Safety & Security is responsible for the identification, development, implementation and management of the organization’s safety and security strategies and programs for risk and threat management. The Manager of Safety & Security directly reports to the Chief Risk and Security Officer (CRSO).
The Security and Safety function services multiple retail and farm locations that operate 7 days a week and the department will be required to respond Security and Safety needs before and after standard business hours as well as on weekends and Holidays. Local travel between the farms, retail locations and support offices will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position plans, develops, implements, and monitors programs for Maggie’s Farm security and emergency management.
- Oversee the coordination and implementation of site security, operations, and activities to ensure protection of executives, managers, employees, guests, and physical and information assets
- Select, develop, train, guide and evaluate Safety and Security staff to ensure the efficient operation of the department
- Provide consultation and leadership to all areas of the company for business continuity, incident management and disaster recovery planning
- Ensure all aspects of the company's security policies and practices are developed, implemented, maintained and updated annually
- Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities, personnel and technology. Evaluate and report suspected security breaches and take corrective actions
- Consult on the design and implementation of a risk assessment program to define, identify, and classify critical assets, assess threats and vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate the development of an emergency response program that encompasses safety awareness, communication, training, injury prevention and documentation
- Identify, collaborate with and manage a variety of safety and security vendors
- Assist in the development and administration (including training) of fire prevention and emergency response programs including inspection/testing of fire suppression systems
- Oversee the administration of environmental, health and safety compliance and training programs

POSITION SUMMARY
Maggie’s Farm Manager of Safety & Security is responsible for the identification, development, implementation and management of the organization’s safety and security strategies and programs for risk and threat management. The Manager of Safety & Security directly reports to the Chief Risk and Security Officer (CRSO).
The Security and Safety function services multiple retail and farm locations that operate 7 days a week and the department will be required to respond Security and Safety needs before and after standard business hours as well as on weekends and Holidays. Local travel between the farms, retail locations and support offices will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position plans, develops, implements, and monitors programs for Maggie’s Farm security and emergency management.
- Oversee the coordination and implementation of site security, operations, and activities to ensure protection of executives, managers, employees, guests, and physical and information assets
- Select, develop, train, guide and evaluate Safety and Security staff to ensure the efficient operation of the department
- Provide consultation and leadership to all areas of the company for business continuity, incident management and disaster recovery planning
- Ensure all aspects of the company's security policies and practices are developed, implemented, maintained and updated annually
- Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities, personnel and technology. Evaluate and report suspected security breaches and take corrective actions
- Consult on the design and implementation of a risk assessment program to define, identify, and classify critical assets, assess threats and vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate the development of an emergency response program that encompasses safety awareness, communication, training, injury prevention and documentation
- Identify, collaborate with and manage a variety of safety and security vendors
- Assist in the development and administration (including training) of fire prevention and emergency response programs including inspection/testing of fire suppression systems
- Oversee the administration of environmental, health and safety compliance and training programs
- Assist in the ongoing evaluation of workplace conditions, materials, equipment, and processes used in order to identify and control workplace hazards and other safety and health risks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a badge from the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED)
- Extensive knowledge of the security field, including corporate policies and practices related to physical security; executive and personnel protection; investigations; loss and incident reporting/analysis; risk and threat assessment/analysis; health and safety, major incident management planning and response; guard force operations and management; and integration of security into business operations
- Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and lead staff
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of individuals inside and outside the organization
- Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving experience and abilities
- Must be able to prove a high degree of personal integrity and emotional maturity
- Strong desire and ability to research, innovate, and implement safety and security systems, technology and programs to stay relevant in the industry
- Must be able to represent the organization with a high degree of professionalism
- Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
- Ability to prepare and deliver clear, succinct, and audience-appropriate written and oral reports for presentation to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to be discreet and handle highly confidential information
- Ability to work independently, with limited direction, and as part of a team while prioritizing and completing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills)
- Five (5) + years of relevant experience in security and safety roles
- Knowledge of METRC and point-of-sale software such as FlowHub
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- This role requires regular and on-time attendance
- Must be able to work at farm, office and retail facilities with moderate to loud noise level and changing working conditions
When at Farm locations:
- must be able to work in an outside environment, being exposed to various weather conditions such as wetness, humidity and extreme cold/heat, for extended periods of time
- could be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals
- Must be able to use a computer while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach and lift throughout the day
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (50+ pounds with assistance)
- Ability to use computer or laptop for an extended period to include a keyboard, mouse and viewing documents on a monitor

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
