Position Summary
The Regional Account Manager of the Northern Midwest is responsible for managing and directing all sales, account development and program implementation in the Northern Midwest region of the United States for the Company’s tobacco product(s). This role will require a great deal of travel around the North Midwest/Great Lakes region to speak with prospective customers, as well as to maintain current relationships with customers. Initially reporting to the President of the division, this role will serve as a liaison between the customers and the Company’s leadership and manufacturing team to communicate market trends in the areas and provide customer feedback for areas of improvement.
Essential Functions
- Manage, develop, and direct company sales within new and assigned wholesale and retail channels. Set up and execute consumer engagement and sales strategies. Focus will be on, but limited to, Regional Accounts in the North Midwest United States.
- Collects and analyzes competitor’s marketing information, and proposes strategic recommendations to leadership to maintain a competitive advantage in the region.
- Designs and recommends, in conjunction with the division President, sales programs and strategies to increase sales and revenue of the Company’s tobacco portfolio.
- Evaluates any current sales programs and strategies for effectiveness, and will propose recommendations for improvement based upon market trends and projected growth.
- Partner with the marketing team to set sales objectives for Company tobacco portfolio.
- Develop new accounts with customers in the assigned region.
- Train any new sales representative who are assigned to the region.
- Oversee the entire sales life cycle from developing new customers to maintenance programming for North Midwest customers.
- Prepare and conduct presentations for prospective customers to educate them on the Company’s tobacco portfolio, merchandising programs, data sources and marketing programs.

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of work
- At least 8 years’ experience in sales, preferably with a product in a highly regulated environment/market
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to form professional relationships with current and prospective customers
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgment for decision making
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive Company information
- Must have the ability to travel to areas within their region with little to no advance notice, including travel on nights and weekends
- Proficient knowledge of marketing strategies and sales tactics for their designated region

Position Overview
A typical day as a Midwest Regional Manager includes:
- Building sustainable partnerships at all distributors and key accounts by emphasizing Collective Arts Brewing brand and product value
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with fellow members of the sales and marketing team. Collaborating with other Regional Sales Managers for cognition of best sales practices that support the Collective Arts Brewing business model
- Developing and maintain strategic partnerships with key retailers, bars and restaurants in area
- Developing and maintain existing and new distributor relationships
- Forge partnerships with new distributors as territory growth is warranted
- Ensuring profitability by brand and package is being maximized
- Identify growth opportunities and executes against those opportunities
- Develop the overall sales strategy, forecast, and budget and present to management for approval
- Suggest and monitor budgets for marketing initiatives; includes setting and monitoring performance metrics
- Provide ongoing assessment of distributor and brewery marketing spends to maximize effectiveness
- Identify lagging brands that need additional support and determine strategy for addressing
- Use data to identify opportunities for new or expanded distribution, lost sales, and incremental volume increases
- Represent the brewery at selected festivals and events such as but not limited to brewery dinners, tastings, and promotions
