Job Description:
Kip Morrison and Associates is looking for a full-time Publicist to represent major lifestyle and cannabis brands. As Account Executive, you will oversee all media outreach and strategic planning on behalf of 4 to 5 clients while also supporting other KMA clients. Candidates must be organized with a strong work ethic, GREAT writing skills, and experience with PR platforms such as Cision, Muckrack, Meltwater, YAMM, etc. In addition to daily account work, Account Executives will also be encouraged to seek new opportunities for fellow clients and account executives while aiding in the promotion of our firm to potential clients.
Please be well versed in pop culture and eager to bring your experience and expertise to a PR and social media agency. Although not a requirement, general knowledge of the cannabis industry is a major plus as you will primarily be handling cannabis clients.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2+ years of previous client-facing experience as a Publicist in an agency is required. Bachelor degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations preferred. While this is a hybrid work environment, your presence will be required 3 days/week on site in Beverly Hills.

Dope Publicity, a full-service strategic communications firm, seeks a driven and experienced publicist junior for a Junior Account Executive role in the agency’s thriving real estate unit. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years’ experience in real estate communications, as well as media relations; agency experience preferred.
Ideal candidates are self-starters who can successfully develop, manage and execute multi-faceted communication plans for highly complex clients, including media relations, stakeholder engagement, digital and social media, and other communications tactics. Key qualifications for candidates include: ability to effectively manage day-to-day account activity, highly relevant related experience, attention to detail, strategic thinking, ability to multi-task and deliver work product on tight timelines, and creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Executing on strategic communications plans that employ a range of communication tools and tactics to help clients achieve goals
- Managing the account team’s day-to-day activity on tight timelines while managing multiple priorities
- Pitching and placing on-message stories in a wide range of targeted media outlets
- Executing multiple client deliverables including the writing and development of press releases, pitches, media advisories, memos, op-ed pieces and bylined articles
- Overseeing the responsibilities of account team’s junior members
- Interacting with and presenting to clients on a regular basis
- Building on existing relationships and creating new connections with reporters and members of the media
- Cultivating talent and assisting in junior staff mentoring/development
Requirements:
- 1-3 years’ agency or comparable experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Skilled at time management and prioritization
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 to $21.00 /hour
