The People Operations Support Specialist is a central point of contact for employees and the leadership team. They are responsible for assisting in the interview and onboarding process for new hires and facilitating required MTC Agent training. Key attributes required are strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and payroll. RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Assist with recruitment, interview process, and onboarding process.
- Assist with coordinating employee events and recognition programs
- Coordinate monthly organization-wide Town Hall meetings for 5-10 randomly selected employees and associated action planning
- Be the first point of contact for employee questions and employment verification requests; triage and escalate issues when appropriate to Management and Human Resource Manager
Quality & Financial
- Monitor training to ensure on-time completion of required learning
- Maintain common area standards for the break room and communication boards.
- Participate in system testing tied to new program, system or process rollouts
- Coordinate and maintain Time and Attendance system updates
People & Development
- Coordinate new hire orientation
- Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation
- Support management with the processing of schedules and time-off requests
- Schedule and coordinate employee training and Orientation
- Maintain and communicate employee performance review schedules
- Follow up with Assistant Managers and Managers to ensure timely performance reviews

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Technician performs extraction, distillation, and shatter of cannabis products, as well as, operation and maintenance of analytical, purification and extraction instruments. Lab Technicians use various types of machinery, lab equipment, and computer programs to perform tests and data collection with the goal of optimizing lab procedures and producing consistent, safe, and quality products. - Perform regular quality assessments in all growth areas for signs of disease and/or infestation, and record data in the master record
- Monitor plant for pests and other threats with a keen eye to spot issues before they become a problem
- Assist in harvesting plant material on schedule including drying and de-stemming.
- Wash and sanitize all equipment. Scout all equipment, ensuring all tools are free of pests, viruses or disease
People & Development
- Continue education of marijuana strains, products, and the industry during downtime
- Stay up to date and comply with all state and local cannabis laws and regulations
Compliance
- Always adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Comply with industry compliance standards set forth by the state of Massachusetts
- Label plants and ensure that an accurate inventory is maintained consistently
- Verify the proper documentation has been completed with accurate information for activities performed

- Skilled in analyzing potential problems with a plant or the product being processed

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED
- Understanding of basic cultivation, horticulture, or agriculture
- Basic computer skills, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets
- 1+ years of live goods growing experience (preferred)
- Experience with large scale, indoor grow operation (preferred)
- Knowledge of growing techniques, including; Germination, Cloning, and Transplantation (a plus!)
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to lift 65 pounds and be able to maneuver between growing tables that are 24 inches apart and repeatedly carry 15-20 pounds the length of warehouse/greenhouse
- Able to stand for extended periods of time, and kneel, stoop, bend, twist, in tight areas
- Able to work in hot, humid environments for extended periods of time with exposure to dust, allergens, and water
- Repetitive use of hands for all functions
- Willingness to work rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
