Job Summary: The Field Marketing Coordinator (“MC”) will drive business through marketing initiatives that will raise brand awareness and enhance the company’s reputation. Primarily, the MC will execute plans and strategies for wholesale support and expansion and will also be involved in GC’s community outreach initiatives. The MC will stay informed about the cannabis market, trends and competition and will build relationships with wholesale vendors, community leaders and internal teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be a liaison between Good Chemistry Nurseries and our Wholesale and Community Relations partners.
Manage wholesale customer budtender education programs, educating the budtenders around GCN history and values, our story, the nurseries and breeding program, and our flower.
Partner with the Wholesale sales team to continue to develop and enhance the in-store pop up experience and other 3rd party collaborations.
Manage the pop-up schedule, GC Gear giveaways and all other tasks related to the pop-up program.
Conduct regular store visits and audits
Manage weekly website audits to ensure wholesale customers have the digital marketing assets needed
Provide digital content, display collateral, budtender training, product samples to wholesale customers.
Provide relevant photos and videos of events and pop ups to the social media team for use in GC’s various platforms.
With guidance from the Vice President of Brand and the creative team, oversee the execution of all outward facing events in MA.
Organize and support community and other sponsored events.
Assist in distribution of messaging and marketing materials.
Act as onsite event manager as needed.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Reliable transportation required
Resident of Western MA or Northeast MA preferred
Experience as a brand ambassador in liquor, cannabis or other wholesale retail focused industry is a plus
Great analytical, multitasking and communication skills
Must pass background check in order to obtain RMD Agent card through the CCC
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient with Google Drive
Enthusiasm for the cannabis industry
Excellent oral and written communication, prioritization and problem-solving skills
Previous experience in field marketing and/or the cannabis industry a plus

- Assist in the development and implementation of the brands’ visual merchandising plans and displays

SUMMARY

DUTIES
- Create, support, and execute brand-specific field marketing campaigns to garner brand loyalty.
- Event planning, from concept, design, and the successful launch. Coordinates all of the moving parts involved in ensuring assigned events go smoothly, including choosing venues, catering services, and communication, etc.
- Organize facilities and manage all event details such as goodie bags, decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, equipment, promotional material, etc.
- Prepare for and attend cannabis trade shows, dispensaries, or canvas for opportunities. Identify and specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities. Conduct pre– and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes.
- May generate leads for Territory Managers.
- Implement physical or digital marketing campaigns. Analyze the market and the campaigns' performance.
- Liaise with clients to identify needs, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals. Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders.
- Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest.
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality.
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.
- Partner with brand marketing to promote and publicize event.
- Proactively manage any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 2+ years in the cannabis industry is required. Must have a confident presence and experience working with cannabis retailers.
- Degree in Sales, Marketing or Advertising is highly desired.
- Familiarity with large metro markets, specifically in Hispanic and Latin demographics, culture, and ethnicities.
- Must be at least 21 years of age per state regulations; successfully pass a background check; and have a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to travel to meet with customers.

- Extensive knowledge of social media. Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.

Position Summary:
The Field Marketing Coordinator, reporting to the Marketing Manager, supports Sales and Marketing by supervising the Brand Ambassador team and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Brand Ambassadors. The Coordinator works closely with the Sales and Marketing team to develop the weekly work plans for the Brand Ambassadors and distributes and manages inventories for all sales and marketing assets to ensure Brand Ambassadors’s have the tools necessary to be effective in the field. They are the point person for collecting feedback from field activations and surveys and analyzing and reporting results to Sales and Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Brand Ambassador team and coordinate their day-to-day activities.
- Coordinate with sales reps to develop weekly account goals/objectives informed by distribution report, prior account activity, and current trade deals.
- Translate weekly account goals/objectives into an actionable weekly plan for Brand Ambassadors and enter it into the OnFleet app.
- Train Brand Ambassadors on available sales tools, apps, and other materials as well as processes and procedures.
- Compile weekly results of all Brand Ambassadors’ activations and submit weekly reports to track success.
- Create and distribute surveys to Brand Ambassadors; collect and analyze results to inform sales and marketing efforts.
- Coordinate with customer service to pack out and manifest sample kits for the weekly store visits.
- Manage the vendor day tool inventories and distribution of materials to the Brand Ambassadors.
- Manage the swag and in-store merchandising material inventories and distribution to the Brand Ambassadors.
- Troubleshoot needs that arise in the field.
- Review and approve Brand Ambassadors expense reports

Required Experience, Education, and Skills
- High school diploma required: BA/BS in Marketing, Business or a related field prreferred
- 3+ years field or retail marketing, trade sales, or project management experience in a fast-paced environment; supervisory experience a plus
- Cannabis industry experience a plus
- Must be detail-oriented with strong project management. analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Tech savvy - experience using CRM’s and other Marketing/Sales-related software platforms and apps including Google Forms and Survey Monkey
