Receives general supervision and direction from the Cultivation Manager. Direction consists of clarification of facility policies, priorities, and goals.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- High school diploma/GED
- Plant science courses a plus, but not required
- Laboratory courses a plus, but not required

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positive, can do attitude.
- Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn.

Primary owner of the mother, clone and veg rooms

- Set up, manage and maintain the METRC. ERP and inventory tracking software to ensure complete accuracy. Duties will include inputting data into METRC, auditing inventory
- Collect, audit and file paperwork from all departments to ensure compliance with state, local and company requirements
- Oversee harvest activities to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Confirm that all new packaging and labeling is compliant prior to distribution
- Develop and perform internal audits to verify the compliance systems. Make changes to the procedures based on regulation changes, root cause analysis from nonconformances from internal/external audits to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct. Owner of the CAPA System.
- Escalate compliance related findings or incidents to management. Trend and track deviations to continually improve our systems. Develop and implement means for improvement of compliance.
- Conduct, supervise and prepare reports relating to internal investigations of any losses, diversions or violation of regulations, policies and procedures
- Manages and maintain the relationship with California regulating bodies: CDPH, BCC, CDTFA, CDFA, etc.
- In collaboration with management, investigate and resolve compliance related issues and concerns
- Keep up with the ever-changing cannabis rules and regulations. Modify internal procedures accordingly and train personnel on policy updates.
- Set deadlines to ensure completion of operational compliance initiatives.
Inventory: - Perform frequent inventory of plants and processed material to monitor inventory losses and assist in developing improved procedures to reduce loss in all departments
- Create and monitor the inventory control system throughout the operation: cultivation, processing, distribution & delivery
- Investigate discrepancies and review inventory reports and files utilizing required reporting structures/systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - - High School Diploma or equivalent required (e.g. GED)
- Completion of bachelor's degree in finance or business related field is preferred.
- Preferably experience with compliance, ideally in the regulated cannabis industry or another regulated industry, such as alcohol, tobacco or manufacturing
- Relevant experience in law, ethics, organizational business, finance or statistical analysis
