Collect and transport sample from client location to laboratory location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect samples from client locations and transport to laboratory in as safe and efficient manner while following state regulations in a company vehicle
- Keep inventory of essential items needed to perform sampling procedures
- Maintain sterility of samples and sampling kits
- Inform leadership on emerging compliance and customer issues

Job Title: National Account Executive – (Northeast – Midwest)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Job Summary:
The National Account Executive (NAE) is the primary collaborative point of contact for ACT
Laboratories for the following:
- National, vertically integrated accounts
- Regional Multi-State accounts
- Other accounts as appropriate
The NAE will engage with C-/D-suite/GM customers in assigned accounts and collaborates with the extended ACT team to support new business acquisition and retention while meeting the needs of the customer, the patient and consumer, and in alignment with policies and regulations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Account Management - Acts as the account leader. Through interactions with the customer organization, gains an understanding of the customer’s prioritized needs and develops a plan that meets the mutual goals of the customer and ACT Laboratories
- Actively develops and applies a deep understanding of the market, competitive activity, business drivers and barriers and enhances organizational learning specific to assigned accounts.
- Demonstrates persuasive, compliant dialogue, gains agreement and informs customer insights to secure the use of ACT Laboratories for Cannabis testing needs
- Negotiates customer contracts and ensures adherence to all terms and conditions
- Clearly communicates account strategy, business priorities and desired customer experience with team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and applicable policies
- Develop and executes sales performance measurement plan, regularly re-evaluates and adapts plan to deliver on annual sales goals for account.
Additional Responsibilities:
- The NAE will be accountable for the business performance, business relationship and customer experience with assigned customers, and for coordinating appropriate ACT Laboratories resources and personnel to meet the needs of the customer.
- The NAE will actively develop and apply a deep understanding of assigned customers, the local cannabis market and the ensuing interplay and translates this into potential business opportunities
- The NAE will serve as the account lead and maintains overall “quarterback” responsibilities for these accounts in coordination with ACT Laboratories resources and personnel
- Interactions include, but are not limited to, key decision makers in the following functional areas:

- Ensure testing samples are properly received, organized and prepared for testing procedures
- Ensure laboratory testing is completed accurately and timely according to all standard operating procedures and in compliance with federal, state and/or local regulations
- Ensure test results and other data are accurately and timely entered into the Laboratory Information Management System
- Ensure test results are timely and accurately transmitted/delivered to customers; discuss results with customers and address customer questions, comments and concerns
- Ensure all Quality Control / Quality Assurance protocols are followed and verified
- Prioritize work, manage workflow and coordinate employee efforts to achieve accurate and timely results
- Perform audits; respond timely and address items identified during audits/inspections
- Ensure laboratory is clean, organized and efficiently operating and laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
- Review and update standard operating procedures as needed; ensure standard operating procedures are appropriately and timely implemented at the assigned laboratory
- Perform work of laboratory employees as needed based upon workflow and staffing
- Perform initial troubleshooting of testing issues and inform technical experts of existing issues in a timely fashion
- Inform leadership on emerging compliance and customer issues
- Work with leadership to define and maintain laboratory capacity
- Support laboratory operations key initiatives
- Assume bottom-line responsibility for laboratory operations including identifying areas of operational efficiencies
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with people inside the laboratory and people outside the laboratory including customers, regulatory staff and corporate staff

- Manage employees that may include Lead Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Drivers / Samplers and Administrative Assistants
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws; responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training, onboarding, staffing/workplace planning, assigning and directing work, scheduling, evaluating performance, recognizing and rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems

- Visit customer sites to investigate/advise customers on issues including contamination

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- Some laboratory experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding testing and transport of cannabis products preferred
- Knowledge of cannabis industry
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Ability to drive safely to and from client facilities (not applicable at New York laboratory)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of seed to sale tracking systems
- Basic understanding of the tests the laboratory performs
- Ability to keep a professional and courteous demeanor in day-to-day operations
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office
- Ability to use computers and computer software programs and systems and standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers and fax machines
- Good written and verbal communication skills to convey and receive information effectively (face-to- face, telephone and electronic)
- Good analytical and judgment skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding test results
- Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, manage time
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Driver’s License required
Safety Sensitive Position:

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a laboratory environment and if applicable travels to client locations throughout the state.
While performing work related duties, the employee occasionally works in elevated places and if applicable, around fumes or airborne particles and must be aware of outdoor weather conditions for the purpose of travel. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Stressful Conditions in the Work Environment Affecting This Position:
- Challenging work demands include heavy workload/work quantity and quality demands, infrequent rest breaks, and long or unpredictable work hours
- Challenging situations including dealing with difficult customers/employees/vendors
Work Schedule:
The position is full time requiring varying shifts Monday through Friday to cover business operations. Work week hours will vary between 40 and 60 hours both in the laboratory and if applicable, traveling to client locations during weekends and holidays.
