Summary

The employee will:
- Assist with day to day leadership and management of the laboratory.
- Assist in the management of operational and technical aspects of the laboratory processes and understand and assist with laboratory business goals and objectives.

- Streamline the workflow and optimize the turn around time of testing done in the laboratory.
- Respond to technical customers inquires and complaints.
- Act as an organizational representative through direct contact with external stakeholders.
- Ensure that the laboratory meets the strict cannabis testing standards of ISO 17025.
- Train and mentor other staff members.

Our Richmond, VA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Senior Manager (Toxicology).
As a key member of the laboratory team, a Senior Manager directly supervises Group Leaders for each of the toxicology functional areas acting as lead on project scheduling while working with group leaders to maximize production. The senior manager also equips and maintains a well-trained and informed staff to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible data on time, works on technical/scientific project activities to execute strategies and solutions that meet client needs and expectations, and leads technical discussions with clients with a high level of technical proficiency. - Ensure testing samples are properly received, organized and prepared for testing procedures
- Ensure laboratory testing is completed accurately and timely according to all standard operating procedures and in compliance with federal, state and/or local regulations

Laboratory Manager:
US Cannalytics is a multi-state testing lab with additional locations in MD, NJ, and FL. We are in search of an experienced lab manager that seeks a challenging position leading an independent testing laboratory serving the medical-use cannabis industry in Pennsylvania.
The laboratory manager, working with the laboratory director, will be responsible for all aspects of lab operations. Ensuring the timely delivery of high quality results and unparalleled customer service.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Executing method optimization
- Maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation
- Maintaining analytical equipment (i.e. HPLC, GC-MSMS, LCMSMS, ICP-MS, qPCR analytical balances, autoclave, centrifuge, biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, etc.)
- Sample preparation, sample analysis, and data review
- Inventory management

Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a biological science and a minimum of 4 years post-degree laboratory experience related to testing of medicinal or pharmaceutical products or other experience as approved by the Department or
- A master’s level degree in a chemical or biological science and a minimum of 2 years post-degree laboratory experience related to testing of medicinal or pharmaceutical products or other experience as approved by the Department or
- A doctorate of science or an equivalent degree in chemistry, biology, or a sub-discipline of chemistry or biology.
- Appropriate experience with HPLC-PDA/UV, HPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and/or ICP-MS
- 3 years of Managerial experience
- Flexibility to take on new assignments and see them through to completion
- 3-years experience using Microsoft Excel

- Ensure testing samples are properly received, organized and prepared for testing procedures

JOB SUMMARY:  The California Laboratory Manager is a key collaborative member that provides leadership and supports Green Leaf Labs philosophy and organizational goals. This position requires strong technical, organizational and communication skills. We are looking for an experienced lab manager with proven expertise in operating and maintaining analytical chemistry test instruments – LC-QQQ, GC-QQQ, GC-MS, ICP-MS. Microbial PCR experience a plus.
This position is responsible for daily operations in the laboratory department including all laboratory personnel; scientific methods performed; instrument operation, calibration, and maintenance; data management; validation and reporting; maintaining Department of Cannabis Control testing facility licensing requirements; proficiency testing; and ISO 17025 accreditation. This position will report directly to the California General Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for daily maintenance, calibration and operations of instrumentation in the laboratory including instrumentation software.
- Manages and performs all laboratory testing.
- Manages laboratory accreditations and licensing requirements.
- Maintains all required records for operations, licensing, and accreditations.
- Develops and ensures compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures and test methods.

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring the timely delivery of analytical data reports to clients and the QA department.
- The Operations Manager works closely with the Laboratory Director and Technical Director to troubleshoot and solve both technical and procedural issues to ensure efficient processing of client samples through the laboratory.

- Supervise and manage adherence to project, SOP/method, and turnaround requirements

About the Job:
The Laboratory Manager will work to organize and manage all laboratory operations and procedures including staffing and scheduling to create an efficient manufacturing operation. Conduct and oversee technical staff on all stages of extraction and manufacturing. Develop and maintain extraction and operational protocols, procedures and SOPs. Work with external 3rd party labs to monitor and interpret analytical testing results. Oversee and maintain internal inventory tracking information systems performing daily and weekly audits. Essential functions:

ROLE:
TheLaboratory Extractions Manager oversees all scientific operations and personnel, including, but not limited to hiring, training, and professional development. Responsibilities:

- Investigates all adverse events, errors and complaints and documents this investigation and determine the root cause.
- Orders all laboratory supplies and ensures that there is at least a month worth of lab supplies on-hand.
- Approves all purchasing for the laboratory.

*We are looking for a qualified HPLC Laboratory Manager to lead our team of processing technicians and undertake a variety of laboratory procedures. Our HPLC Laboratory Manager will be handling sensitive chromatographic equipment to analyze hemp oil samples for their cannabinoid content, diligently logging this information, and compiling customer and internal reports. Skills:

Position Summary:
To be responsible for the intake of client test samples to Laboratory Information Management System, as well as, act as an overall receptionist and brand ambassador. Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, is responsible for providing general office services to the laboratory staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Answer incoming calls, determine the purpose of calls and transfer calls
2. Greet walk-in clients
3. Provide proper information about testing to clients
4. Check in all client test samples and input them accurately into LIMS

About the Job:
The Laboratory Manager will work to organize and manage all laboratory operations and procedures including staffing and scheduling to create an efficient manufacturing operation. Conduct and oversee technical staff on all stages of extraction and manufacturing. Develop and maintain extraction and operational protocols, procedures and SOPs. The Opportunity
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our Quality team as a Laboratory Manager. The Laboratory Manager is responsible and accountable for the testing of intermediate/finished products and all aspects their tracking and quality control management. Ensures the safe, accurate and timely testing. Supervises and oversees the work of several lab technicians.
Responsibilities
- Performing installation and operational qualifications on lab equipment, validations on software, production, and cleaning processes
- Implementing, monitoring, and performing calibration of all lab equipment by establishing and ensuring consistent standards of use
- Responsible for the management, coaching, counselling of direct reporting personal, and conducting regular performance reviews
- Working collaboratively with various stakeholders including members of the Operations Department to improve processes and optimize productivity
- Facilitating testing of variety of samples with both internal and external labs
- Preparation and review of lot release reports/CoA’s
- Delegating tasks to the Laboratory and Incoming Quality Team and overseeing all on-going QC projects
- Reviewing and making decisions based on laboratory results. Presenting information and findings at departmental meetings as needed
- Review and develop current and future laboratory operations to improve efficiency and productivity
- Working with the Director of QA/QC to review and develop QA/QC operations
- Reviewing OOS investigation reports and out of trend incidences and leading associated CAPA’s to improve processes
- Auditing production process and working with other departments to ensure procedures and reports are accurate and up to date
- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting large volumes of data in official quality reports
- Monitoring and enforcement of documented logs for actions, events, and activities according to SOP requirements
- Scheduling and tracking production equipment preventative maintenance and calibrations
- Review and approval of requested materials, equipment, and chemicals for production areas
- Upholding SOP procedures and documenting planned deviations or non-conformities when required.
- Understanding up-to-date Cannabis Regulations and working with Director of QA/QC to address internal and external audits
- Assist with product recall or complaint investigations when laboratory testing is involved
- Other tasks within the Quality Department as required
Experience
- College or University degree in a relevant scientific field
- Minimum four (4) years management experience in a QC/QA and/or laboratory role in a cGMP, HACCP, GAP regulated environment (pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, etc.) is required
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience training others
- Comfortable working in and capable of setting priorities in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with the following software: Agilent ChemStation, MassHunter, Microsoft Office Suite, LIMS and Google Docs

Laboratory Manager General Responsibilities:
- Manage inside operations, including production, process evaluation and monitoring
- Work closely with the Quality team to assure method and SOP compliance

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from a four-year college or university; Minimum 5 years of relevant industry and laboratory operations experience including management experience

Primary Responsibilities of this Position
- Consult with the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer on the laboratory design, equipment installation and construction specifications.
- Create and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures.
- Responsible for commercial production and extraction processes to ensure regulatory compliance and profitability.
- Ensure product quality and production consistency through Quality Controls oversight.
