What youâll do
Achieve individual sales revenue goals and contribute to reaching Cannabis team goals as well as overall Fluence goals
Oversee all aspects of the customer relationship to assist them through the sales process from initial consultation and design through solution presentation, closing, and revenue
Prospect and turn new opportunities into loyal Fluence customers working across Fluence with subject matter experts in areas such as lighting design, fixture engineering, installation teams, pricing and finance
Manage opportunities, quote processes, and payment terms planning for all customer projects and ensure a smooth transition to the relationship management team for the backââŹÂend process
Ensure an exceptional customer experience through accurate collection and updating of customer information, sales and history through the dedicated CRM system
What youâll need
Bachelorâs degree in Horticulture Science, Agronomy, Business or equivalent
10+ years of relevant cannabis/horticultural working experience, preferably in sales/customer relations management in controlled growing environments (ie. Greenhouses)
Required inââŹÂdepth technical cannabis growing knowledge
Sales experience must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) as well as a record of achieving sales goals
Ability to work in complex customer settings with multiple stakeholders and competing needs
Ability to travel at least 50%, located near a major airport in region
Must be legally authorized to work in the Unites States without current or future company sponsorship needs

Whatâs The Role About:
Puffco is currently seeking an articulate, enthusiastic, self-motivated, driven, and ambitious Strategic Account Manager who is committed to nurturing our key accounts. You will utilize your extraordinary communication skills and passion for problem-solving to connect with customers by phone or email while establishing trust and strong rapport. Our Strategic Account Manager will serve as our primary liaison to our wholesale clients as well as play an instrumental support role in our sales and customer service team. You will be responsible for nurturing client relationships, managing our existing customer base, and developing a pipeline of new accounts for our growing business. You will be responsible for handling business and confidential situations in a discrete and mature manner.
Some things you will be responsible for:
- Retain and nurture top key accounts by being a strategic and consultative partner.
- Develop deeper client relationships through building trust and engagement.
- Drive account strategy in your territory.
- Grow existing book of business through daily prospecting efforts.
- Provide prompt, excellent customer service and support via email and phone on a daily basis.
- Review unfulfilled orders, identify issues and correspond with customer service and fulfillment teams to resolve them; keep customers informed of shipping status.
- Follow up with existing clients for payment, restock, and product recommendations.
- Prepare quotes, collect payments, and follow-up on shipment deliveries.
- Work with sales management regarding appropriate client coverage.
- Update customer records in CRM as required.
- Contact customers to answer basic procedural questions and to gauge their level of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales team to monitor active purchase orders and make sure that orders are completed and processed on time.
- Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally. Report any service issues or customer support inquires to Account Executive.

Job Summary:
Strategic Account Managers act as the primary point of contact for our strategic clients. This role will provide dedicated support to some of our key clients to ensure a fully integrated support model while also being an integral member of our internal BDSA team. A typical day will involve working side by side with our client(s) to provide BDSA expertise and strategic consulting, uncovering insights from our own datasets, and delivering high-quality support to dedicated client(s). Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Build strong client relationships and trust with influencers and key decision makers by providing dedicated client support to assigned client(s).
- Develop a rapport as a consultative partner. This includes communicating value, driving engagement, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Participate in client team meetings, check-ins, and other strategy sessions to ensure client is provided with high level of expertise and support.
- Provide training and ongoing support for BDSA products and partner platforms to client(s).
- Build, develop and maintain client data models, reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
- Create compelling and proactive presentations, telling insightful stories and demonstrating value with strategic findings and recommendations.
- Complete analyses and communicate complex analytical results, and corresponding implications to clients in a manner that will be easily understood.
- Coordinate with internal SME's to respond promptly and accurately to ad hoc client requests/issues.
- Perform periodic Partnership Reviews to solidify value provided, expand business relationships, and ensure health of the account.
- Identify upsell opportunities with product based on an understanding of clients' business and manage sales process from need identification through close.
- Manage the renewal process for assigned accounts, including building the proposal, putting together the order form, price negotiations, and procurement/legal process.
- Become an expert in the Cannabis industry and an enthusiastic, knowledgeable ambassador for proprietary products to provide ongoing value and support your dedicated client(s), addressing both short term and long-term opportunities and challenges.

Job-related Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, statistics, applied mathematics or related field. Experience may substitute for education requirements.
- 5+ years of professional experience in market research and project or account management.
- Experience translating analytics including statistical modeling, data mining, and advanced segmentation into actionable insights.
- Proven track record managing accounts, clients, and/or projects in one of the following or similar industries: CPG, Retail, Food & Bev, Alcohol, Tobacco, Financial Services, Software.
- Experience analyzing and solving CPG-focused challenges including but not limited to: innovation planning, pricing elasticity, forecasting, projections, assortment, etc.
- Prior analysis and/or implementation of consumer or retail insights data.
- Prior knowledge of the cannabis industry is NOT a requirement, but interest in learning the industry inside and out is a must.
Salary Range: $90,000 â $110,000
