The Cultivation Technician is responsible for production and general labor in the cultivation facility, including indoor, greenhouse, and outdoor cultivation. The Cultivation Technician works under the direction of the Horticultural Operations Manager to care for and maintain the health of the plants and may also assist with Post-Harvest activities where needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow approved standard operating procedures for preparing, storing, arranging, and handling and manicuring plants to ensure top quality in all stages of growth
- Perform general farm tasks such as moving and operating equipment, soil preparation, light maintenance, and watering
- Trim/Prune plants as needed according to cultivation schedule
- Transplant plants as directed into different pots and containers according to stage of growth/progress in the grow cycle
- Harvest plants while following the companyâs Standard Operating Procedures Build up the plant canopy by trellising and properly arranging the plants to optimize growth in the flowering stage
- Transfer and securely transport harvested plants to the Post-Harvest team Assist in the loading and unloading and storage of supplies and materials Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and sanitation standards
- Weigh and log cannabis waste material
- General labor throughout the facility as needed (clean up, light maintenance, etc.)

Position Summary: Everest Apothecaryâs Cultivation Technicians work on our award-winning cannabis farm within the Cultivation Department. As a Cultivation Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring quality, safety, and operational compliance in and around all grow spaces. In this fast-paced, team-oriented department, all team members are given individual responsibilities while contributing to the larger mission of providing clean, sustainable cannabis to New Mexicans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of all grow operations including but not limited to quality assurance, potting, manicuring/pruning, harvesting
- Execute tasks and projects assigned by Cultivation Managers in adherence with established policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Complete all work assigned during a scheduled shift
- Proactive communication with team members including but not limited to:
o Maintaining open communication with management and other team members
o Reporting all security, quality control or procedural concerns to management
- Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
