About This Role

Overview:
The
Purchasing Manager is responsible for coordinating purchasing across Lightshade.
This position reports directly to the CFO and works closely with Lightshade
management. Key qualities and skills for this role include purchasing and
inventory management experience, strong administrative skills, ability to
develop systems, adaptability, communication, problem solving and versatility.
This candidate must take initiative, be proactive, highly organized, positive
and enthusiastic.
Responsibilities
(including, but not limited to):
- Structuring purchasing across
multiple locations - Comparing costs between
vendors and streamlining product selections - Tracking and coordination of
deliveries - Establish and manage inventory
levels of predictable non-resale consumables and ensure that proper
inventory is maintained - Seek opportunities to save
through bulk ordering on predictable consumables where possible - Managing vendor relationships
and establishing accounts with new vendors as needed - Development of product
catalog and ordering structure for multiple locations - Create purchase orders and
facilitate receipt of goods - Perform additional
assignments as required by the operating needs of the company or as
directed
Knowledge/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum
