The Store Manager is responsible for supervising all activities that are related to the retail sales, order processing, and customer service of our Dispensary. The Manager will manage the execution of customer orders and ensure that all products are correctly picked and recorded in our MJ Platform and METRC system.
Position Summary
The Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the dispensary. This includes but is not limited to managing all staffs at Koli West and ensuring successful compliant operations and high level customer service. The Manager is responsible for creating the staffing schedule making sure the dispensary is properly staffed at every shift. Each shift should have sufficient personnel to act as budtenders and inventory support.
The Manager reports directly to Ownership. He/She is responsible for communicating any policy changes to the staff and implementing directives from Ownership immediately. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the dispensary including but not limited to retail sales, inventory management, product intake, Point of Sale (POS) system troubleshooting, education, and onboarding of budtenders. This requires high level communication skills as this person must communicate with ownership, patients, and internal dispensary staff and may act as a spokesperson for the dispensary at times.
Finally, this position is responsible for dispensary employees’ strict adherence to laws and regulations concerning medical cannabis put forth by the OMMA.
Along with the ongoing development of your job description, immediate responsibilities for the role of Store Manager include:
Management of Dispensary Personnel
- Creates staffing schedule for the dispensary to ensure sufficient staffing for successful operations. This includes staffing reception, budtender roles to satisfy customer needs, and inventory management roles to satisfy the needs of the back of house such as labeling product, packaging, etc.
- Works closely with Koli Cannabis leadership and the retail team to ensure successful implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding product intake and organization
- Conducts regular meetings with dispensary personnel to communicate changes and ensure successful operations and compliance
- Empowers dispensary staff to deliver high quality customer experiences
- Manages any specialized roles within the dispensary, such as education, community outreach, market insight
- Tracks budtender sales and analytics.
- Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to the dispensary personnel to ensure a smooth flow of operations within the store.
- Provides specialized dispensary teams with ongoing coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities
- Monitors staffing levels and communicates to ownership when hiring is needed and for what position(s)
- Makes sure all operations carried out in the dispensary are in compliance with the regulations set forth by the OMMA
Operations and Compliance
- Conducts all necessary reporting to the state using provided inventory tools Metrc
- Works closely with ownership and other Koli managers to ensure successful implementation and follow-through of compliant procedures
- Oversees all purchasing and check-in of products in the inventory management system and physical inventory locations
- Oversees cash handling, provides change to drawers when needed, and reconciles the cash drawers at closing each night both physically and in the POS

Effective Communication and Customer Service
- Communicates directives from ownership to dispensary personnel when appropriate
- Communicates product knowledge, changes, pricing, and promotional sales to dispensary personnel at every shift meeting to ensure successful implementation and operations

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for day-to-day operations of the dispensing facility. Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Store Manager position is to create, train and motivate a team so that they can smoothly run their store to help the highest number of customers and patients possible in their location with the Dank's level customer service and shopping experience.
Objective:
The daily objective of a Store Manager is to build a cohesive team, present the standards, requirements and expectations for performance to all members of the team, facilitate continuous training, coaching and feedback for continuous improvements and hold individuals accountable to the Dank's standard for policies and procedures. It is our desire to have the Store Manager on the floor as many hours of the day as possible. The Store Manager should train, guide and instruct their counterpart (assistant manager) to perform office related tasks for them to review after completion.
Special Demands:
- The Store Manager should be in direct contact with the Regional Manager daily to guarantee communication of all significant information is getting to the appropriate team member.
- The Store Manager must be able to LEAD by example, not boss people around. The need to be able to come in at the start of each day equipped with a positive and determined attitude in order to motivate and get the best out of their team.
- Second on-call, they are the absolute last resort if someone calls out sick and no coverage can be found, if the Assistant Manager isn't available the Store Manager must come in and cover the shift to ensure the appropriate level of staffing on the floor.
- First on-call for any and all security related issues, such as break-ins. Their phone number will be the first number called by the alarm system, and they must be at the location to meet law enforcement.
- Store Manager is responsible for firing employees when they are not meeting or exceeding the Dank's standard and/or culture in their position.

- Ability to use mature judgment and diplomacy in sensitive situations.
- Demonstrated administrative and budget management expertise.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills to facilitate productive communication with other business units, supervisors and team members.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in G Suites, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Etc.
- Able to build relationships among team members.

- Time management, strong leadership and organizational skills.
