Job Responsibilities/Job Qualification
- Building relationships with new and existing credit union members
- Sales and service of the financial products the credit union offers
- Taking applications and analyzing credit to make sound lending decisions
- Processing loans and credit card applications and disbursing funds
- Monitoring delinquencies and completing collections activities as needed
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of credit union policy and applicable regulations
- Assisting with coverage of the teller line, facilitating member transactions
- Will perform job duties in compliance with policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) and the state of New Jersey

Mitchell School of Business is seeking an enthusiastic and growth-minded individual to join its team as a Loan Officer, based in its Newark, NJ location.
Job Responsibilities/Job Qualification
- Building relationships with new and existing credit union members
- Sales and service of the financial products the credit union offers
- Taking applications and analyzing credit to make sound lending decisions
- Processing loans and credit card applications and disbursing funds
- Monitoring delinquencies and completing collections activities as needed
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of credit union policy and applicable regulations
- Assisting with coverage of the teller line, facilitating member transactions
- Will perform job duties in compliance with policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) and the state of New Jersey
Requirements
- Retail sales and service experience with the ability to build relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of loan and deposit products and services
- Prior experience in consumer loan underwriting preferred but not required
No prior sales experience is necessary, and we will train individuals to learn a variety of skills from sales and human resources to management and leadership. This position is base flexible with a big commission driver. Our loans yield an average of 3-5 points (as low as 1pt - 10pt). We are looking for prospects who want to and will make $5,000 - $15,000 per month. Which for the right candidate is great, manageable, without aggressive or useless pressure and a great quality of life. We have future upside in growth via team building, management, and various other avenues. Please do research before applying. We only want GOOD team members.
