BASIC FUNCTION
The Laboratory Technician assists the Chemist and/or Microbiologist in performing chemical testing procedures and microbiological tests. Carries out sampling, weighing, pipetting, operation of lab equipment, recordkeeping, and analyzing data in cooperation with the scientific team. Must be able to drive to sampling sites, perform unbiased sampling procedures, follow laboratory protocols, and assist with the housekeeping operations of the laboratory. Supports laboratory staff by maintaining glassware, logs and record books, troubleshooting and resolving problems, and helping with special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

b. Experience – Hands-on experience in a research, testing or clinical laboratory is desired. Knowledge in a range of analytical techniques, experience with plant material and extraction procedures, and familiarity with laboratory equipment and software (Excel, ChemStation, Google Sheets) are preferred.

Reports To: Laboratory Supervisor
Description: The technician is responsible for performing all aspects of testing in a full service cannabis laboratory offering state mandated services to Missouri's cannabis distributors, cultivators, and manufacturers to ensure safety and accuracy.
