Description

SJ Labs and Analytics, LLC is looking for a seasonal part-time entry level lab technician. SJ Labs and Analytics, LLC is the first Cannabis Testing Lab in the state of Georgia. This position is perfect for a new graduate looking for lab experience. The job will be from now until November with the possibility of permanent employment following the season. The schedule and hours are M-F 8-12.

The lab technician will be responsible for preparing and extracting samples for HPLC, GC, an LC/MS/MS and Microbial Analysis. The workload will be ~80% benchtop and 20% lab specific administrative duties.

Education and Experience Requirement

Bachelor's degree (or last semester) in

• Chemistry

• Biology

• or any other related lab based Science

OR

Associates Degrees in

• Chemistry

• Biology

• or any other related lab based Science

• AND 2+ years of laboratory experience

OR

High school diploma AND 4+ years of laboratory experience

Duties

• Prepare Plant Sample for Analysis

• Prepare Tincture, Edible, Concentrate, and Topical Samples for Analysis

• Follow ISO 17025 procedures and document deviations, issues etc that arise from sample prep

• Maintain lab housekeeping

• Track retained sample and dispose of samples according to procedure

The Processing Technician will work within the Production Laboratory Department and report to the Production Laboratory Manager and/or the Processing Laboratory Manager.
