Purpose:
A Cultivation Technician performs a variety of critical tasks related to cultivating and processing cannabis including but not limited to transplanting, propagating, pruning, harvesting, trimming, irrigating, and moving plants/grow materials. Cultivation Technicians work in a team environment under the direction of the Cultivation Manager or Post Harvest Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assistance with harvest: cutting plants, moving, plucking, and hanging.
- Process harvested flower: trimming, packaging, and other post-harvest tasks.
- Maintain a sanitary environment in the greenhouses and headhouse: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment.
- Care for plants in the greenhouse by assisting with transplanting, propagation, pruning, big leafing, and pest control.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Physically able to work with hands all day, stand for long periods of time, crouch, bend over, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Has an MED badge.
- Experience in commercial cannabis (or a related industry).

Grow Facility is seeking a maintenance technician. You will be responsible for the safe operation and repair of all the equipment at our 9,000 SF indoor grow facility. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical, plumbing, and construction with a concentration in HVAC. You will be solely responsible for diagnosing and repairing all mechanical systems.
Day to day tasks vary from routine maintenance such as changing HVAC filters, painting, changing light bulbs to the complexity of completely repairing a 5-ton unit, compressor, boards, switches, capacitors or even adding a circuit to a panel. We have 60+ tons of RTU & Split Systems to maintain in good working order.

The Cultivation Technicians are responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company's cultivation operation from propagation to harvest. Essential functions include — but are not limited to — assisting the Cultivation Manager in various ways such as cleaning, cloning, transplanting, IPM applications, pruning plants, planting and resetting rooms as well as various miscellaneous tasks that fall under the day-to-day management of our gardens and their various individual departments.
Under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager, this team member will ensure that the facility is kept safe and compliant with OSHA standards as well as all state and local regulations at all times. This position will be responsible for following ALL Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as they relate to various aspects of our cultivation and to maintain compliance within our facility at all times. Cultivation Technicians will be responsible for many of key day-to-day tasks that keep our facility operating smoothly and our production cycle on schedule, so it’s critical that they possess a positive mindset, a capacity to problem-solve, as well as a “team-first” mentality. We are a small family here at State Flower and we are looking for a few solid individuals to join our growing family.
We are looking for someone with cultivation experience, a mechanical inclination, and a "pay-it-forward" start-up mentality. We have developed a highly efficient cultivation system and are looking to identify a qualified person who can help us continue to implement this system as we expand our operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
These include, but are not limited to, the following (other duties may be assigned):
- General cleaning duties, e.g., scrubbing and sanitizing trays in propagation room, veg room and various flowering rooms; cleaning miscellaneous growing equipment to maintain protocols; transferring plants from one stage to the next; de-fanning plants, removing waste, weighing & tracking plant waste
- Completes regularly scheduled quality assessment of plants for signs of pests/disease under the training of the Cultivation Manager.
- Ensure the cultivation facility is consistently stocked with appropriate supplies at all times.
- Ensures all equipment and systems (mechanical, lighting, fertigation/plumbing, etc) are properly maintained
- Inventory procedures as they relate to proper plant counts, tracking information for inventory to ensure that our facility is always operating in compliance
- Mop up spills, leaks and making sure safety signs are in place to caution employees on wet floors, oily surfaces, and other occupational hazards as soon as they are noticed.

The Cultivation Technicians are responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company’s cultivation operation from seedling to harvest.
Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)
- Performs plant and crop maintenance using standard procedures including but not limited to, cloning, transplanting, feeding, trimming and pest management
- Maintains clean environment by removing and disposing of all cannabis waste, cleaning and sanitizing all rooms and tools used on a daily basis
- Assists in collecting data to monitor plant health, soil health, and environmental control systems.
- Meets all required activity performance counts
- Masters and learns basic principles of cultivation SOPs and sanitation of the field and applies them in a limited manner.
- Assists others as part of a team to accomplish cultivation goals set forth by management
- Performs all tasks set by management in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 0-1 years of experience; must be 21 years old
- Attention to detail; shows initiative to learn; is punctual and dependable; is cooperative; has a team-oriented work ethic; this is an entry level position
- Production greenhouse experience a plus
Working conditions
- Requires weekend/holidays altering rotation
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Alterra Wellness is a leader in cultivation and producing plant based medicines. We are seeking a Harvest & Trimming Tech to join our amazing team.
Requirements
-Must be detail oriented and very good at paying attention
-Best if you have experience working in a commercial setting such as a restaurant or food service.
-Must be able to follow directions well, and work in a fast paced environment
-No experience required. We will train you, and you will learn from one of the top companies in the state.
Role
Harvesting plants, and keeping each cultivar organized as product moves from cultivation to processing. Will be hand trimming plants, along with packaging and maintaining accurate inventory of all plant material. Maintaining lab-grade sanitation within a closed environment. Will be responsible for a strict cleaning schedule. Maintaining accurate inventory of all plants that move through the designated production areas.
Responsibilities
- Keeping all harvest, processing and trimming areas Sterile
- Maintaining accurate inventory of all plant material and products
- Hand-trimming plants, along with packaging and labeling
- Assisting with all harvest activities- labor intensive
- Keeping trim and dry rooms clean and organized

Salary: $13.00 to $17.00 /hour
