Job Description:
The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is hiring two full-time Liquor Distribution Worker 1- Equipment Operator positions. There is one day shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) and one swing shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) position. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a state agency that is the third-largest generator of state revenue.

Who are we?
The OLCC is the agency responsible for regulating the sale and service of alcoholic beverages, the production and sale of recreational marijuana, the tracking of Oregon Health Authority medical marijuana, and the tracking of industrial hemp products sold in OLCC retail stores. The agency is comprised of three major operational programs; the Distilled Spirits Program, the Marijuana Program, and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration, Financial Services, and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs.
What will you do?
You will perform the duties necessary to move distilled spirits through the distribution center in preparation for shipment to the 282 liquor stores throughout the State of Oregon. Operate all motorized equipment used in the distribution center including a 5,000-lb forklift and 3,000-lb remote order selector. Equipment is used for loading and unloading inbound freight, palletizing, stocking and filling flow racks with merchandise.
What are some of the supporting duties?
- Operate forklift to unload inbound merchandise, and as necessary, re-stack product that has shifted in transit.
- Transport received merchandise to bulk storage locations within distribution center using a forklift and radio frequency (RF) scanner.
- Use a forklift, RF scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to restock full pallets of merchandise within the distribution center and to locate overstock product and load onto OLCC trailers and trucks to transfer between facilities.
- Operate a 3,000-lb remote order selector to pick full cases from multiple pick locations and varying heights.
- Use supplied labels to pick full cases of liquor for outbound orders from pallets, racking, and staged areas and load product onto the conveyor system by hand.
- Use RF scanner to pick product from storage locations and/or staging areas and restock product to flow racks as directed by scanner.
- Work in repack section as needed and to assure cross-training on all LDW-1 duties.
- Operate shrink-wrap machine to wrap and seal all repack (split-case orders) cases for stability and security during loading, supping and unloading.
- Use an RF scanner to access and fill will call, samples, and non-agent orders.
- General warehouse duties as needed, such general housekeeping duties, cleaning and repairing damaged cases, operating cardboard and plastic wrap balers, and keeping equipment clean and properly charged.
- Identify and correct potential safety problems and needed equipment repairs and servicing.
- Other Liquor Distribution Worker 1 (LDW-1) duties.
Working Conditions:
Limited exposure to daily weather conditions. Noisy environment. Considerable stooping, lifting, twisting and reaching. Considerable physical effort required. Operating the equipment requires good vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination, and judgment of spatial relationships. This position has the need to frequently mount and dismount the forklift. What will you do?
You will perform the duties necessary to move distilled spirits through the distribution center in preparation for shipment to the 282 liquor stores throughout the State of Oregon. Operate all motorized equipment used in the distribution center including a 5,000-lb forklift and 3,000-lb remote order selector. Equipment is used for loading and unloading inbound freight, palletizing, stocking and filling flow racks with merchandise.
What are some of the supporting duties?
- Operate forklift to unload inbound merchandise, and as necessary, re-stack product that has shifted in transit.
- Transport received merchandise to bulk storage locations within distribution center using a forklift and radio frequency (RF) scanner.
- Use a forklift, RF scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to restock full pallets of merchandise within the distribution center and to locate overstock product and load onto OLCC trailers and trucks to transfer between facilities.
- Operate a 3,000-lb remote order selector to pick full cases from multiple pick locations and varying heights.
- Use supplied labels to pick full cases of liquor for outbound orders from pallets, racking, and staged areas and load product onto the conveyor system by hand.
- Use RF scanner to pick product from storage locations and/or staging areas and restock product to flow racks as directed by scanner.
- Work in repack section as needed and to assure cross-training on all LDW-1 duties.
- Operate shrink-wrap machine to wrap and seal all repack (split-case orders) cases for stability and security during loading, supping and unloading.
- Use an RF scanner to access and fill will call, samples, and non-agent orders.
- General warehouse duties as needed, such general housekeeping duties, cleaning and repairing damaged cases, operating cardboard and plastic wrap balers, and keeping equipment clean and properly charged.
- Identify and correct potential safety problems and needed equipment repairs and servicing.
- Other Liquor Distribution Worker 1 (LDW-1) duties.
Working Conditions:
Limited exposure to daily weather conditions. Noisy environment. Considerable stooping, lifting, twisting and reaching. Considerable physical effort required. Operating the equipment requires good vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination, and judgment of spatial relationships. This position has the need to frequently mount and dismount the forklift. Forklifts must be driven over dock plates and into trucks for unloading. High level of pedestrian and equipment traffic to be cautious of within the warehouses.
What do you need to qualify?
One year of general warehouse experience or six months of experience as a Liquor Distribution Worker 1 with the OLCC.
This must have included some experience or training in operating one or more of the following pieces of equipment:
forklift, riding pallet jack, electric cart or remote order AND
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Overview:
Position consists of general heavy equipment operation for construction and trenching operations. Qualifications:
