Job Summary:
As a member of the NuSachi Processing team, the Hemp Cultivation Intern will gain an understanding of all aspects of the hemp production process, safety procedures, cultivation practices, processing practices, and company policy. Over the duration of this internship you will be trained in the practice of planting/cloning crops, strain ID/management, maintaining plant health, harvesting, dry/cure/trim methods and practices, and the processing strategies to make the end product. There will be additional learning opportunities with our practices and advances throughout the hemp and cannabis industries. The ideal candidates will be self-motivated and eager to learn and grow in a hands-on environment.

- Irrigation/watering maintenance
- IPM (integrated pest management)
- Defoliation of plants
- Genetics knowledge (phenohunting)

Skills & Qualifications:
- Enrolled or recent graduate of Agricultural/Horticultural program or similar field of study

- Perform all the tasks in the grow including: cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, super cropping, topping, flushing, foliar, and preventative sprays, trimming, packaging, waste disposal, cleaning and inventory management.
- Employ essential growing methods/Maintain in-depth knowledge of PH, PPM and EC counts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of strains – sativa, indica and hybrids. Maintain knowledge of growth characteristics, nutrient needs, and environmental needs of individual strains.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Keep every tool or implement used in its appropriate place. Clean and sanitize all tools.Return items to where they belong, upon completion of a task.

- Assist Head of Cultivation and Leads in maintaining OSHA standards, safety and protocols.
- Don proper PPE in the cultivation space, at all times.
