Industrial Hemp Cultivation InternshipThe ideal candidate seeking this internship must have a strong desire to work in industrial hempproduction within the industry. Previous experience in a greenhouse environment would be great but isnot necessary. The candidate will gain an understanding for all aspects of industrial hemp productionincluding, but not limited to: the knowledge of genetics, nutrition, water, lighting, media, pests, pesticides,plant sex, hermaphrodites, cloning, pruning, trellising, cross contamination, air circulation, and climaticconditions. The candidates needs to be reliable, trustworthy and have a can do/whatever it takes attitude.A positive nature and the ability to work effectively within a team is crucial.Qualifications:ï‚· Enrolled or Recent Graduate of Horticulture/Plant Biology Program.ï‚· Must be able to read/speak English with good communication skillsï‚· Ability to assist grower in all growing relating routine tasksï‚· Ability to scout for insects and diseasesï‚· Adhere to safety policies and procedures (safety-conscious around chemical applications)ï‚· Flexibility is a must, as priorities change throughout the dayï‚· Able to work at a fast pace, with long periods of standing and bending or sittingï‚· Able to work overtime and weekends as requiredï‚· Have a solid work history with good attendanceï‚· Must have reliable transportationï‚· Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
