What you will do:
- Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.
- Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.
- Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.
- Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.
- Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.
- Ensures appropriate machinery and tools are available to assigned construction workers and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.
- Schedules and participates in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.

- Maintains consistent daily communication with project management staff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.

What you will need to be successful:

What you will do:
- Supervise the overall field operations of larger projects, while managing and coordinating the efforts of superintendents under their direction.
- Prepare and communicate project schedule to plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.
- Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and submitting all invoices to Accounting in a timely manner.
- Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, manpower and activities in sufficient detail.

Experienced Construction Project Superintendent
- A minimum of 3-10 years related experience as a superintendent in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor
- Extensive experience supervising and managing craftspeople and multiple subcontractors on multiple construction and repair projects
- OSHA 30 Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid, and CPR Certification preferred

Experienced Construction Project Superintendent
- A minimum of 3-10 years related experience as a superintendent in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor
- Extensive experience supervising and managing craftspeople and multiple subcontractors on multiple construction and repair projects
- OSHA 30 Safety Course Certification, Red Cross First Aid, and CPR Certification preferred
- Basic computer understanding including e-mails, MS Office, and internet
- Understanding of project management software, Procore
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Great time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to mentor Assistant Superintendents
- A strong work ethic with respect for clients, staff, and subcontractors is required as well
- Must oversee all aspects of the job site construction, including overseeing all subcontractors and interfacing with clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering a plus but not required
- Design-build experience in all phases of commercial construction is a plus.
- Projects and offices are located in New England but a willingness to travel is a plus

Position Summary
Group West Construction is seeking an experienced construction superintendent to join our team. Superintendents are responsible for on-site supervision and management projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and report on daily construction site operations and activities
- Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants and vendors to achieve project schedule
- Schedule and coordinate delivery and installation of all materials and equipment
- Oversee and supervise construction progress and report on progress and adjustments
- Perform quality control and safety inspections
- Responsible for daily field reports and documentation
- Responsible to maintain a clean and safe construction site
- Coordinate all required 3rd party and local jurisdiction inspections of work in progress
- Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings
- Ensure all building and safety codes, safety inspections, local and state regulations are met
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum three years of construction superintendent experience
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of building construction systems and components
- Able to effectively interpret construction documents
- Able to problem solve and strategize for optimal solutions
- Able to lead and teach others
- Able to establish and maintain strong relationships within the construction industry
- Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with Project Management software preferred

Pay: $73,000.00 - $128,112.00 per year
