In this role you will…
- Prep, mix, cook, produce, pour, deposit, pull, and store all facility consumables and products.
- Accurately prepare ingredients, workstations, and equipment for production.
- Effective time management of individual workflow, meeting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and daily production expectations.

Summary:
Oak Canna, LLC is seeking an Edibles Kitchen Technician. The Edibles Kitchen Technician is responsible for multifunctional support of production and packaging our infused edible products. The Edibles Kitchen Technician completes tasks assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor. Day-to-day tasks include prepping, cleaning, cooking, labeling, and operating production and packaging machinery. Produce and package edibles in accordance with the State and standards set by Oak Canna, LLC.
Cannabis Edible Kitchen Technician will assist in preparation of infused edibles with our production staff, while safely and efficiently using equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Experience in cannabis and/or kitchen is preferred
- Must be able to pass a background check with no pending charges or convictions within the past 10 years for a controlled substance-related felony.
- Strong work ethic with repetitive tasks.
- Easy going and a team player with a small group.
- Can stand or sit for long periods of time depending on task.
- Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferable a regulated field producing products for human consumption.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation.
- Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in process, package and label in a precise manner.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and measurements.

Position Summary:
The Edibles Laboratory Technician is the primary person in the production of high-quality cannabis-infused edibles. The individual will also assist with the extraction process along with cleaning and maintaining laboratory and equipment, recording and entering data, and associated tasks. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the consistent, sanitary and safe production of cannabis extracts and infused products utilizing company policies to successfully uphold quality and consistency of all products produced in compliance with State of Ohio medical marijuana laws and legislation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for the daily operation of the lab and fully comply with state laws and regulations
- Production of infused edibles, including, but not limited to, gummies, chocolates, and olive oil; assist with the production of other infused products such as patches and lotions
- Perform CO2 and butane extraction of cannabis materials
- Perform stripping, grinding, and decarboxylation of cannabis materials
- Perform post-extraction processes, including wax removal, solvent recovery, wiped film distillation, and mixing for vape pens
- Assist with the creation of batch production records and maintain a detailed log of procedures and results
- Examine product samples during production to evaluate quality, color, and texture
- Perform necessary equipment maintenance and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Follow all Good Manufacturing and Serv Safe practices
- Follow established sanitation practices for staff, equipment, and facilities to ensure quality measures are met to maintain high quality of product
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, helpful
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in cannabis extraction or food/edibles production, helpful
- Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the state for working in the medical cannabis industry
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
