DESCRIPTION
Riverside Wellness is an experienced armed security officer for Riverside Wellness, a Medical Marijuana Dispensary. The Security Guard will report to the Security Manager. Your primary duty is to guard and patrol the company property and to prevent and deter diversion, theft and violence. Primary responsibility for securing the facility, patients, employees, and proprietary information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and patrol premises as directed by Security Manager
- Escort personnel as needed
- Prevent and deter criminal activity and loss of assets
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation by the Missouri Bureau of Investigation and Riverside Missouri Police Department, and licensing requirements by Missouri DHSS Facility Agent License and Riverside Missouri Police Department Armed Security Guard License
- Must be able to meet weapon qualification on personal weapon
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology
- Ability to handle crisis and emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Exercises good judgment
- Customer service
- Maintains patient confidentiality HIPPA
- Receive, authenticate visitors entering facility
- Respond to and/or contain crisis or urgent situations including accidents; man-made or natural disasters; or other incidents that could result in harm to people, property, or the environment

- Experience and/or training in de-escalation and conflict resolution
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends in rotating shifts

Conditional/Part Time Employment: $16.50/hr
Full time: $17.50/hr with Dental/Medical/Vision

Our next full-time Security Guard will be one of the first points of contact for our patients as they enter our dispensary. This position will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the building, people, and vendors throughout each shift.
To Be Blunt
You will be challenged to work tactically to provide service and protect our patients with care and efficiency.
One minute you will be verifying state-issued identification and recording the contact in the visitor log
The next minute you will be completing a security check with the General Manager
And the next minute assisting the Receptionist with monitoring and improving patient flow
Regardless of the task, it鈥檚 critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you鈥檒l work within a diverse team in the organization.

Where you鈥檒l be planted*
This position will be on-site in our Phillipsburg, NJ dispensary. Our hours of operation are 9am - 9pm every day of the week. This role will require availability during nights, weekends, and some holidays. The hours for this role will vary and requires 36-40 hours per week with potential overtime opportunities.

What We鈥檙e High On*

- Must meet age requirements by state as determined by the Department of Health or State Regulatory Commission
- At least two (2) years of Law Enforcement, Security and/or Military experience required
- Must have Red SORA card and permit to carry
- Letter of Need Transfer will be supplied once hired
- Must provide own equipment/arms
- Must be proficient with computers, POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams
- Must be flexible regarding work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work well within a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50 lbs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting / emergency equipment

We are seeking full-time or part-time Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team.
The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.
We work primarily in the cannabis industry, but we only work with fully licensed and legally operating businesses.

Available shift times are: 9:00pm - 5:00am, 10:00pm - 6:00am, and 12:00am - 8:00am. Additional hours available by request.
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to enforce security procedures
- Conduct patrols and perimeter checks
- Maintain command presence and customer service
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Guard Card Permit through the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
- Training certificates to support active Guard Card (40-hour certificates and 8-hour continuing education courses)
- Valid Exposed Firearm Permit
- 21 Years or Older
- Reliable Transportation
- Cell-phone that can receive text messages and has internet access
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
- American Red Cross CPR certification (We can help get this)
