Job Purpose
The purpose of the Senior Human Resources Benefit Administrator is to provide front-line generalist support at a corporate level while working closely with the Senior Human Resources Benefit Manager in supporting all areas of Benefit Administration, Benefit Initiatives, Worker’s Compensation, Employee Relations, and other administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual open enrollment process for all locations including Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Canada
- Manage benefit renewal implementation process for all locations
- Coordinate and facilitate Wellness Initiatives for all location while working with HR Business Partners at designated locations
- Work with vendors and brokers regarding Cobra, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Benefits
- Coordinate and facilitate a variety of employee meetings and engagement events
- Reconciles monthly benefit invoices
- Provide support to employees surrounding benefit programs, HR initiatives, policies, and procedures
- Ability to run various reports and update data analytics
- Conduct new hire orientation for salaried employees
- Manage employee changes in HRIS system
- Work alongside payroll to ensure HRIS system is up to date for seamless payroll process
- Provides Human Resource generalist support in areas such as staffing, employee relations, training/development, and other related areas.

Qualifications and Experience

Job Purpose
The purpose of the Human Resources Generalist is to work closely with the Sr. Human Resources Manager along with a complete Human Resources Team assisting with meeting business objectives while providing customer service to our employees within the organization. The Human Resources (HR) Senior Generalist leads and manages the following areas working closely with the HR Manager: Recruiting, Onboarding and New Hires, Employee Support and Engagement, Workforce Planning and Employment and Workforce Relations and Development. The HR Senior Generalist serves as the backup for the HR Manager when the HR Manager is out or unavailable.
Recruiting, Onboarding and New Hires
- Serves as the main point of contact for all recruiting, onboarding, and new hires whether a direct hire or a temporary hire.
- Conducts orientation and ensures that the new hire completes all required documents.
- Processes all new hire information (background check, state badge, I-9) and inputs the new hire information into the HR Information System.
Employee Support and Engagement
- Manages employee events working with the facility leadership.
- Supports employees with their HR requests – PTO, address change, direct deposit change, HR Information System access.
- Manages Company Employee Programs.
- Assists with benefits enrollment and benefit changes.
Workforce Planning and Employment
- Manages transfers, promotions, demotions, terminations, and any other compensation changes. Processes these changes in the HR Information system.
- Administers the timekeeping and attendance system
- Completes employment and earning verifications and ensures proper documentation and compliance.
Workforce Relations and Development
- Trains and assists with employee disciplinary actions and dispute resolution.
- Administers and processes disciplinary actions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or can substitute experience for the degree.
- Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred, but not required.
- 4 - 6 years of HR experience with companies having +100 employees
- Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
