The Patient Care Specialist is responsible for interfacing and consulting with clients, patients, caregivers and vendors. Overseeing all activities related to the operation of the dispensary to include patient identification and registration. This position provides exceptional customer service utilizing knowledge of marijuana strains and products to aid customers through the process of understanding, selecting and purchasing the appropriate product for their needs. Essential Functions:
· Greets and welcomes guests courteously in person, via phone and/or by email
· Requests appropriate identification from all who enter the establishment
· Directs visitors to the appropriate person
· Offers refreshments to patients, customers or visitors
· Manages reception with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes culture, values and the mission of the company
· Follows established policies for sales and customer service which ensure customer satisfaction
· In-depth knowledge of every product and strain in the store
· Responsible for retail product knowledge so as to assist customers in making the right choices such as knowing how different means of cannabis consumption affect people differently
· Provides good practice for dosage starting points for inexperienced customers
· Maintains familiarity with suggested cannabis treatments for qualifying conditions in Illinois

· Assists in verifying order deliveries for accuracy, security measures and safety compliance
· Maintains open communication with the management team and other coworkers

· Assists with shelving deliveries when needed
· Provides any necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations
· Maintains a calm and pleasant demeanor in all types of situations to create great customer service outcomes

Qualifications:
- Knowledge and consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills

- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, data base management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
