Master Planner/Scheduler
RollPros is currently looking for an experienced Master Planner/Scheduler to support the production of automated machinery used in the cannabis industry. This person will work closely with our Manufacturing and Procurement team to forecast and create business plans around sourcing materials for our manufacturing line. Qualifying and building relationships with vendors will be a critical component of this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of our Inventory Management System (Fishbowl) and develop processes around how this is managed and used within the organization. Set reorder and order up-to points based on anticipated consumption rates and lead times.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts used in our manufacturing line.
- Maintain the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
- Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality; implement subsequent changes to processes.
- Negotiate prices for raw material, hardware, and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
- Act as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of raw materials, hardware/components used in the automation industry, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications, part drawings, and component spec sheets
- Ability to interact well with internal and external customers
- Has experience operating within a budget
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- In?depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years production planning experience in a related industry
