A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of 10 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, tobacco, cannabis, and toxicology testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
We are looking for a Client Services Manager with strong technical and industry knowledge to join our growing and dynamic laboratories. This on-site Client Service Manager will lead our client service team of experienced laboratory project managers (PM) at our Richmond, VA environmental laboratory. They are responsible for contributing and implementing the company’s strategic plan.
As a key member of the Project Management team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
- Grow and guide PMs and sample receiving teams by promoting teamwork, ownership and exceptional customer service
- Solving client challenges and building a strategic vision that is best for our customers and operation
- Working closely with the Business Development and Proposal teams to grow the existing customer base and identify new business opportunities
- Collaborating and communicating effectively with the clients as well as the field services team to ensure that client’s laboratory and logistical needs are met
- Reviewing the efficiency of staff resources with other managers as well as provide and implement process improvements
- Hiring, training, coaching and performing annual performance reviews of Client Services department, including PM and sample receiving
- Providing technical resources to both external and internal clients
- Ensuring that the PM team performs all tasks within the required timeline and meet project driven turnaround time goals
- Promoting a positive and collaborative culture between the PMs, business development group and operations
- Exhibiting exemplary leadership model that supports overall company’s success
- Able to provide supervisory oversight on-site, Monday through Friday
- Working closely with the Lab Director in developing annual budgets and initiatives
- Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan and other company policies
- Able to review data, and ability to finalize/approve Certificates of Analysis
- Other duties, as assigned by the Laboratory Director
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or a related science field
- Meet the qualifications of a Project Manager II/Senior Project Manager
- Minimum of seven (7) years of technical and customer service experience, in the environmental field
